Freefolk4life
Ramsay is getting ripped apart my wolves. Figuratively, then hopefully literally.
Hueylouis
wun wun was written into the story as part of a bet. one of GRRM's friends was a big fan of the Dallas cowboys, and GRRM is a big New York Giants fan. in the last chapter wun wun is bashing one of the queens men against a wall. the sigil of the queens man wun wun is killing is the same star that is on the cowboys jersey. so a giant is killing a cowboy. Lohodrom
Wun Wun is secretly a Targaryen it is known. Wun Wun is Lyanna Stark. Bed of blood was due to the transformation, and "Promise me Ned" is about her asking him to keep her secret.
Hos the Hostage
Wun Wun is secretly a targaryen, secretly being mance, secretly being a lannister, secretly being a faceless man, secretly being barristan selmy, secretly being one of varys's little birds, secretly being a warg, secretly being one of robert's bastards, secretly being stannis, secretly being ayra. so many secrets. You missed Howland Reed
FittleLinger
Ramsay is getting ripped apart my wolves. Figuratively, then hopefully literally. Nope, Ramsay dies by his bitches, and his Bastard's boys who won't be reluctant to kill him violently to show their new allegiance.
Narvi
Wun wun is the ambassador for the giants. It's been what 10,000 years since man and Giants work together to fight the others. Well the others are back and we need someone to speak for the Giants. A shame Jon's the only southerner that remembers that.
Hos the Hostage
Don't ignore the possibility of Jon skinchanging to Wun Wun (nearer than Ghost, dumber than Hodor) and dealing with the mutineers.
naseridrl
He will kill Ramsey to protect Shireen since She is the giant's friend. I've been hoping for ages that Wun Wun becomes Shireen's bodyguard. Between the two of them with his brawn and her brains they could probably go far. Bannermen won't mess her then that's for sure. Diregirl
Nope, Ramsay dies by his bitches, and his Bastard's boys who won't be reluctant to kill him violently to show their new allegiance. It would make a lot of sense if Theon killed Ramsay - this would allow Theon to finally free himself from Ramsay and his fear of Ramsay forever and Ramsay would get his comeuppance. (Or I could imagine Ramsay and Roose to kill each other, might be a fitting ending for that sick father-son-relationship) I don't see why GRRM should have Wun Wun kill him. Fiery Heart
I finished reading A Dance With Dragons yesterday. So, I'm wondering. Is the general consensus that Jon is dead? Certainly seems that way... (what a chapter!)
Ghost's Shadow
The general consensus very much says that Jon is NOT dead. Read this list: :agree: It's rather GRRM-like. 1. Bran - GameSer Jaime throws him of a tower. Dead by impact.2. Arya - GameYoren goes for her face with a blade, she fights him unsuccessfully. A cut throat, dead. Her last chapter in the book.3. Bran - ClashTheon knows where Bran and company are hiding. He will show no mercy. 200 pages before Bran is confirmed alive.4. Jaime - ClashInsults Cat repeatedly. Cat demands a sword. Last chapter in the book.5. Davos - ClashDrifts into the burning chain. Last chapter in the book.6. Theon - ClashIs on the losing end of the Battle of Winterfell turning into wholesale slaughter. Won't be seen for two books.7. Jaime - StormVargo Hoat sends a message to Lord Tywin. An arakh descends.8. Cat - StormRed Wedding.. Well, she actually dies. Not the end of her story though.9. Arya - StormThe Hound's axe took her in the back of the head.10. Davos - StormStannis is ready to take his head off.10a. Arya - FeastNot dead, but blinded. Last chapter in the book.11. Brienne - FeastHanged. Last chapter in the book.12. Tyrion - DanceDrowns in the Rhoyne.13. Davos - DanceLord Manderly orders him executed. Was backed up in Feast.14. Asha - DanceFinishing blow with an axe.15. Theon - DanceRowan promised to kill him after visiting "Abel".16. Theon - DanceJumps down a 40-foot wall.17. Jon - DanceGets caesared. Last chapter of the book. So, 17 cases of a PoV character dying at the end of their chapter. Five of them at the end of the book. All presently alive and back in action, except Jon. http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/topic/98042-winds-of-winter-jon-snow-theory/#entry5031382 It's much a George trick, this one. He might be out for a bit, but dead? He cannot be. He's going to find out his parentage, and he's bound to play a role in the defence of the realm against the Others. He, along with some others like Dany, Tyrion, Arya, Bran and Sansa are kind of automatic survivors till at least the last book.
Fiery Heart
Sweet. Excellent summation & good points! Hm ...Melisandre. Will a resurrection make Jon Azor Ahai in her eyes, I wonder...
unitron
Did they (or he) say Jon would learn of his parentage or just that it would be revealed? He doesn't need to be alive for the latter.
