TGO
Just wondering what you all think her role will be in the next book. We know from the Cersei chapters that Jaime disappeared weeks ago as mentioned in one chapter and he isn't dead because i'm pretty sure if Jaime Lannister was found dead word would have spread by now and the same goes for the heir of Tarth. My prediction is that she holds him captive and uses him to get into the Frey wedding, thoughts?
The Blessed
Something along those lines. Just as she used Jaime to get Arya and Sansa back, she will use him to get her revenge. I expect him to sabotage the Freys, or other allies of the Lannisters, thus resulting in him questioning his loyalty. Once again, Jaime's heart will get the best of him and he will betray what other expected him to uphold.
yankee211
I hope Brianne convinced Cat to organize this plan against the Freys. But I think she will have Jamie killed because remember the last thing she remembered from the RW is what Roose said. "Jaime Lannister sends his regards", since then she has been on a mission killing whoever was involved in the RW. Also, there is another wild card in the riverlands, Nymeria and her pack of wolves. GRRM stated that Nym and the pack will have a major role in AWOW.
Monctonvike
It might be a little Hollywood, but everyone seems to think that it will be Mel that raises Jon (if he is dead). We saw her show remorse for how she treated Jon in the past. I wonder if somehow she gives Jon the kiss of life? Perhaps Bran shows her what Ned's secret was pretaining to Jon? She could do nothing to save Rob, but she can make it up to Jon
yankee211
I like that plot, at this point Cat is no longer the same woman before the RW. If gets in contact with Sansa or Rickon, her humanity might return. Right now she is just blood thrust for revenge.
The Reckoner
She will probably act as a mentor figure to Danaerys, once she lands on Westeros. I expect Aeron's krakens and Euron's reavers will smash the majority of her fleet and those she brings over from Essos. At this point, Victarion is Moqorro's creature, and thus poses a threat to Euron and Aeron's ambitions. Thus, intercepting the fleet and smashing it. Thus, Dany will find herself in need of support once she lands. Enter Stoneheart. One of the Lady's nicknames is "Mother Merciless." Stoneheart's actions are driven be a sense of revenge, and that revenge is rooted in a mother's love and grief for her shattered family. The theme of family is further tied to Stoneheart through the makeshift orphanage Brienne encounters in AFFC. Similarly Danaerys is tied to the theme of the mother, as a mother of dragons and mother of freedmen. Both are tied to fire, Stoneheart through R'hllor and Danaerys through her dragons. Therefore, I believe that Dany will have a very subdued landing in Westeros and will be intercepted by Stoneheart and the Brotherhood. I think the dragons will not be a problem for Dany in Westeros; it seems that much of her arc in TWOW will be focused around embracing the Targaryen words, thus gaining some control over her dragons. Her arc will reach its peak in Westeros when she discovers a means of reconciling her family's words with her desire to act as a mother to the downtrodden, neglected and abused. Enter Stoneheart to help guide Danaerys toward this reconciliation.
Lord Lannister
I see Brienne and Jaime trying to reason to her together, but possibly having organized some trick to either escape or turn the tables on her if she proves unreasonable. I just can't picture Brienne selling Jaime down the river.
yankee211
Brienne is in a predicament, because she owes Jaime her life and her possible betraying Cat is hard to believe because her loyalty to her.
The Reckoner
I think that someone, probably Thoros, will try to convince Brienne that the Cat she knew and served is gone.
ImpinDornish
Brienne is in a predicament, because she owes Jaime her life and her possible betraying Cat is hard to believe because her loyalty to her.At which point Brienne decides that she made her vow to Lady Catelyn Tully, not Lady Stoneheart Maniac-bitch. This is where her arc curves and discovers that vows are bendable/breakable and finds herself empathising with Jaime a LOT more.
yankee211
She emapasise with Jamie because he told he saved her from being raped and the bear pit. Brienne was shocked that Cat was still alive and even try to reason with her that Jaime was trying to help get Sansa back. We will not know her opinion about Stoneheart until AWOW comes out, but hope she does not change her loyalty to Cat. Because Jaime on the other hand while reading his chapter on AFFC & ADWD, I think he is taking over a leadership role but he is going towards a ruthless path like Tywin. An example is when he threated Blackfish that he will hang Edmure as well as catapulting Rosling's baby as soon as it is born. So I would have no problem if Brienne is leading Jaime to a trap. I am not of the camp of hating Jaime, but besides potentially killing Cersei I don't know what else there is for him to do? Maybe he accompanies Brienne on some adventures and falls in love some more ( doesn't seem GRRM style) Maybe he becomes the lord of Casterly rock. I can't imagine any other character keeping him on in the kings guard.
The Reckoner
Jaime will probably want to try to protect Tommen, possibly hang around to keep an eye on Myrcella (if she's in the Dornish caravan heading to King's Landing? I forget...). In trying to live up to his knight's code and that white book, Jaime may become something of a knight-errant for the common folk, which could potentially bring him into conflict with Tyrion when the Imp makes for the west with whatever forces are allied with Dany. Protecting the people of the west from the wanton destruction brought on by Tyrion's horde.

ssls6
If I had to guess, I would think the whole Stoneheart, Jaime, & Brienne triangle would move towards Littlefinger and Sansa. The girls are two that tie the three together and Arya is out of play. Littlefinger has confessed to wanting it all and I still think we wants Sansa as his youngCat. It could be a wedding where the hammer falls.
yankee211
I believe the wedding will take place at Riverrun, not the Twins. If it is at Riverrun, the brotherhood need more men to do a surprise attack or will LS motivate the riverland vassels to support them. I can't imaging the riverlords wont forget what the Freys did to Cat and the Tully family at the RW. Lastly, don't forget about Nymeria and her wolf pac, I hope they play a role in it.
