thespider4a
(Assuming R+L=J)the theory assumes that Lyanna gave birth to Jon at the tower of Joy and died in 'a bed of blood'. However at the time of this where where the 3KG, where they just waiting outside ( as surely Lyannas scream would be heard outside the the tower) and chose to do nothing. So, why didn't they help her or take custody of Jon instead of just leaving them in the tower. Surely the three 'honourable' knights extremely loyal to Rhaegar would have helped Lyanna when she as giving birth as Lyanna being ignored in her cries for help could have contributed to her death as it distressed her during the labour. Assuming they knew Lyanna was dying why did they just leave her half dead up there with Jon?
King Viserys Targaryen IV
(Assuming R+L=J)the theory assumes that Lyanna gave birth to Jon at the tower of Joy and died in 'a bed of blood'. Assuming they knew Lyanna was dying why did they just leave her half dead up there with Jon? The crys of Lyanna in Ned's dream where not actually Lyanna but Ned's man trying to wake him.Lyanna did not give birth to Jon at the exact time that Ned arrived, but more likely a week to two weeks before. Lyanna most likely died of puerperal fever, which takes effect usually 7 to 10 days after childbirth. A fever takes time to a life and is not something that usually kills in an afternoon. And Lyanna would have people to take care of her. The King's Guard would not have cooked and cleaned. Most likly there was a wet nurse/ midwife or a Maester there as well as a few cooks or maids at the Tower as well.It says when "they" found Ned Lyanna was dead in his arms. At that point it only names Howland as another person at the Tower, so there must have been others
purple-eyes
They are not maester or midwife, what can they do to help lyanna on childbirth? I do not think they even want to be there and watch jon was born. And it was a dream. It may not be the real cry of lyanna, she probably did not have strength to cry that loud. Jon's Queen Consort
I am sorry but what they could do after hearing Lyanna screaming? Deliver the baby?

Lyanna probably did receive all the help the KG could offer her...I wouldn't be surprised if they did look for a midwife and found Wylla instead. Wylla would have had some experience in delivering a child/children, since she's supposedly a wetnurse.
Lady Winter Rose
Jon wasn't at Tower of Joy. Therefore, Lyanna might also not be there.
Sly Wren
Jon wasn't at Tower of Joy. Therefore, Lyanna might also not be there.Very likely. The text has NOT pinned down that anyone was in the tower, or that the KG were guarding the tower, or staying at the tower, or perhaps just arrived at the tower. And the scene were are given is in a dreamGiven all of those variables, trying to figure out the actions of the KG towards Lyanna (since they do not mention her nor do we know if she's anywhere nearby)--it's going to be a lot of speculation without any solid proof. Fun to do, no doubt. But speculation.
