I dunno about that. Braavos maintained a diplomatic relationship with the Targs, even with the dragons around. It went as far a betrothal. The betrothal didn't end well, but still...

And, as you say, the Sealord had a hand in the pact between the Martells and Viserys. If Braavos were so prejudiced against anyone of Valyrian descent, they could have easily ended the Targ line in the five years child Viserys and baby Dany were residing there, or in the many times they visited Braavos in the years following.

There are probably a few Braavosi who are nervous about dragons - I speculate that Jaqen H'ghar could be in Oldtown for this reason - but I don't think Braavos as a whole have such huge hate-boners for Targs and dragons that they'd become slavery apologists.

A few who are nervous is sure to exists in a large population sample.  But the majority of the Braavosi would support the ending of slavery.

They will be very supportive if they are indeed sympathetic to the slaves.  I think they are.  Power is needed to bring on positive change.  The slavers are not going to stop until they are forced to stop.  Braavos on its own is not powerful enough to fight the slavers and free the slaves.  They need Daenerys Targaryen.

It is necessary to have power to take apart the slaving machine in place but even that may not be enough to keep it from rebuilding.  A permanent force of considerable number will be needed to keep slavery from raising its ugly head. This is where religion and mysticism can help guide the people towards a future without slavery.  Social engineering is the better term.

No it will not end like Spartacus.  And no it will not end in the time frame of the story.  Daenerys is the right person to lead.  It has nothing to do with that.  The timing is just unfortunate because the world will be facing an existential threat in Westeros.  Daenerys is smart enough to know which problem to deal with first.  She is the right person to lead Westeros through this existential crisis.  I think that is what Qaithe is trying to say.  Ending slavery is the most important thing any of our characters could do but a smart girl like Daenerys will realize what she must do first.  Stop the Others, save the world, and then go back to finish the job in Slaver's Bay.  A Dream of Sping does not just mean waiting for the end of winter.  It also means looking forward to a brighter future.  And no future will be bright as long as slavery continues to exists.

Ending slavery is not that easy. If it is to have any sort of permanence, there will need to be alternative set up. As it stands, Daenerys merely took the government, freed the slaves and told them "do as you know". But "as you know" is slavery. She did not even try introducing, say, feudalism or similar system (manorialism, colonate), or economy based on free villages. Problem with such laissez faire approach is again - people will act within the constraints of the slaving system even if they no longer want to be slaves.

Either way, it will take decades of work. And what she has achieved so far will more likely than not collapse once she leaves for Westeros, so it will be less "finish the job" and more "start over".

She has the church on her side.  That will make it possible to reshape society and build a new culture.  But the slave culture of Ghis will have to be completely removed.  The slaving families have a choice.  They can accept change and allow freedom and a new social system to develop and blossom.  Do this and live.  Or they can choose to continue doing evil things to bring back slavery and die.  It is their choice.  What happens to them as a consequence is their choice.
