Daemon the Leaner
Chelsea have the second best squad in the league, so even with injuries, they should have done much better points-wise. I don't know exactly what their injury situation is, but the team they lined up yesterday has the quality to compete for the title. Not only the quality of the starting XI but the depth: they goddamn have Lukaku, Pulisic, Saul and Ziyech on the bench. Tuchel does have a bizarre use of his bench though. If EtH plays a 4-3-3, we need 6 first team midfielders at least (7 would be the ideal number for depth). If you switch to 4-3-3 you'd need at least one more winger, no? Well, injuries did hit them on their wing backs (James and Chilwell), where they didn't have adequate cover, and they are as vital for his gameplan as the fullbacks are for Liverpool. But ofc that's high level whining by Tuchel.
