Tyrosh Lannister
I'm talking of the period Aegon 1 ruled Westeros with 3 dragons or during the reigns of jahaerys 1 or viserys 1 that had the most number of dragons . Did the glass candles of the citadel burn then ? Surely someone would have managed to light one ? Reason I ask is because after Danys dragons were born (after over a century where no dragons existed) , magic became stronger in the world allowing marwyn to light a glass candle Edited June 30, 2023 by Tyrosh Lannister
Aebram
There does seem to be some correlation: Quote ”It is said that the glass candles are burning in the house of Urrathon Night-Walker, that have not burned in a hundred years.” —Xaro Xhoan Daxos, to Daenerys Targaryen (Clash 63) Apparently the glass candles stopped burning around the time that the last Targaryen dragon died. The ones at the Citadel were reportedly brought there a thousand years ago (Feast prologue). So it does seem that they were in use for a very long time, probably since before the Valyrian Empire rose to power. But we don't know much about their history.
