I'm guessing that a few of the stars of Rome/Deadwood/Wire/Carnivale/etc. will probably be getting roles if the series is ever made. I doubt anyone from the Sopranos will be included though. lol. Too bad because I think he could've done the foolish cocky thing well. Johnathan Rhys Meyers used to be, but for the same reason no longer is, the perfect Theon -- lean, dark, up to no good. Mongoose Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 -Viggo Mortensen would make a fair Eddard and an awesome Bronn. -Polly Walker (Atia in HBO's Rome) could totally pull off Cersei. -If not Polly Walker, then (and I know this is a bit of a reach) Katherine Heigl might not be a bad choice. She has the looks, anyway. -If he were younger (think "Chamber of Secrets" age) Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy) would make an excellent Joffrey (hey, he's already proven he can play a total shithead); for that matter, he might not do too bad as Viserys. -I haven't actually seen him act yet, but based on looks alone, Ben Barnes could play either Jon or Theon...or Renly. -Getting back to the "Rome" crossovers, Kevin McKidd would do well as Eddard (in terms of attitude, not looks) and he's even the exact right age! -Hate the idea of Antonio Banderas as Oberyn, but I bet Joaquin Phoenix could do it. -Brandon Routh as Renly Baratheon, at least in terms of looks. Christ, that man is gorgeous. -Robert Knepper as someone despicable: Roose Bolton, Littlefinger, maybe even Tywin...maybe Timmet (probably too old for him though) Hell, that guy could even do Mance Rayder or the Red Viper if necessary. He's so damn good. -Jeremy Irons as Tywin. -Bran? -Ed Speleers (Eragon) as Robb. -James McAvoy as Beric Dondarrion. -A younger Thomas Haden Church as the Hound.
