ASOIAF Twenty Questions - v.35

Liar

Recommended Posts

1) Character

2) In some sense it's definitely not in Westeros, in some other sense it's probably from westeros

3) In some sense it's already dead (and in one of the 5 books the reader sees it), in some other sense it's probably still alive (but probably will die in the future anyway)

4) I'm almost sure he's a male

5) He's human

6) We never see the character dead in an Arya's POV

7) In some sense, we see him dead before AFFC, in other sense he's probabily still alive

8) In some sense we saw him dead in Essos

9) We didn't see him dead in ASOS

10) He probably doesn't live in Qarth, he probably wasn't born in Qarth and maybe he's never travelled in Qarth (but I don't know for sure about all his past experiences).

11) We didn't see him dead in AGOT

12) I wouldn't say it's a character with a false identity (like Arry etc)

13) There isn't enough information to know the cause of his death

14) A female POV character saw him dead. Probably other POV characters (male and female) saw him alive.

15) He's probably a normal human, not an undead

16) He has something to do with a prophecy or magic

17) We surely saw him in a Dany's chapter.

18) Dany saw him in the House of the Undying

probably from Westeros

It must be one of her visions: Aegon VI, any of the dwarves, Rhaegar.

Or any of her three traitors, one she presumes she already knows

not official.

He isn't a Targaryen nor ralated to one. :dunno:

Here is the Citadel's summary of the HotU.

1. The Dragon has three heads:

Looking into several rooms in a hallway in the House of the Undying, Daenerys sees several scenes, some which appear to be of the past, some of the present and some of the future. The first of this is a woman being savaged by four little rat-like men.

The second is a room filled with savagely slaughtered corpses which appear to have been attending a feast. A dead man with the head of a wolf, wearing an iron crown and holding a leg of lamb like a king might hold a sceptre, sits at a throne, his eyes looking at Dany with mute appeal.

The third room shows her old home in Braavos and Ser Willem Darry.

The fourth shows an old man on a barbed throne, saying to another man below him "Let him be king over charred bones and cooked meat," and "Let him be king of ashes.".

The fifth room, finally, shows a man very much alike her brother Viserys, except that he is taller and has eyes of dark indigo rather than lilac. He is speaking to a woman who is nursing a newborn babe, telling her that the child's name should be Aegon and saying that "What better name for a king?". The woman asks him if he will make a song for the child, and he replies that he has a song and that "He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.". He appears to look at Dany then, as if seeing her, and then he adds that "There must be one more," and "The dragon has three heads.".

2. Mother of Dragons:

". . . the shape of shadows . . . morrows not yet made . . . drink from the cup of ice . . . drink from the cup of fire . . ."

". . . mother of dragons . . . child of three . . .

. . . mother of dragons . . . child of storm . . . "

3. Three fires must you light:

". . . three heads has the dragon . . .

. . . three fires must you light . . . one for life and one for death and one to love . . .

. . . three mounts must you ride . . . one to bed and one to dread and one to love . . .

. . . three treasons will you know . . . once for blood and once for gold and once for love . . ."

4. Daughter of Death:

Viserys screamed as the molten gold ran down his cheeks and filled his mouth. A tall lord with copper skin and silver-gold hair stood beneath the banner of a fiery stallion, a burning city behind him.

Rubies flew like drops of blood from the chest of a dying prince, and he sank to his knees in the water and with his last breath murmured a woman's name.

". . . mother of dragons, daughter of death . . ."

Glowing like sunset, a red sword was raised in the hand of a blue-eyed king who cast no shadow.

A cloth dragon swayed on poles amidst a cheering crowd.

From a smoking tower, a great stone beast took wing, breathing shadow fire.

". . . mother of dragons, slayer of lies . . ."

Her silver was trotting through the grass, to a darkling stream beneath a sea of stars.

A corpse stood at the prow of a ship, eyes bright in his dead face, grey lips smiling sadly.

A blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness.

". . . mother of dragons, bride of fire . . ."

Shadows whirled and danced inside a tent, boneless and terrible.

A little girl ran barefoot toward a big house with a red door.

Behind a silver horse the blood corpse of a naked man bounced and dragged.

A white lion ran through grass taller than a man.

Beneath the Mother of Mountains, a line of naked crones crept from a great lake and knelt shivering before her, their grey heads bowed.

Ten thousand slaves lifted bloodstained hands as she raced by on her silver, riding like the wind. "Mother!" they cried. "Mother, mother!" They were reaching for her, touching her, tugging at her cloak, the hem of her skirt, her food, her leg, her breast. They wanted her, needed her, the fire, the life, and Dany gasped and opened her arms to give herself to them.

A corpse stood at the prow of a ship, eyes bright in his dead face, grey lips smiling sadly.

It might be this... though I always think of this corpse as JonCon, and he's definitely from Westeros and male.

That is very probable, since it has more character. You should ask whenever you feel comepletely sure. :)

Is it the corpse that stood at the prow of a ship in her vision?

Yes :D

I've always thought about a Greyjoy, but we don't actually know who he is. So... we surely saw him dead, but in another sense he's probably still alive (if he's really one of the characters who are still alive).
