Will the Others reach Westeros by the end of WoW? Yes Who will be on the Iron Throne by the end of WoW? Aegon Who will hold Winterfell by the end of WoW? Stannis/Davos/Rickon What will Sam uncover in Oldtown? A multitude of things about the Faceless Men, dragons, magic, Jon's birth Will Cersei win her trial? I believe she will, but will die by the end of the book, or if she doesn't win her trial, she will escape immediate death. Is Aegon fake? I believe so. Is Jon alive? Yes. I wish he was dead due to the sake of storytelling, and avoiding everyone near a red priest getting a reprieve. I like Jon, but the story would be more exciting and less predictable with his death. Will Jon find out his heritage by the end of WoW? Yeah. What role will Dorne play? A big one. I think Ser Balon is in for a trap with Darkstar/Hotah/Obara. The Sand Snakes in KL will stir shit up as well. Not to mention Dorne's military is very fresh and ready to spill blood. What role will the Iron Islands play? Euron is a tough bastard. I think he will take some more castles in the Reach, but I don't see Vic being successful with Dany. Euron wants the IT, and he'll fall short. It would be interesting to see him take it though. I'm sure he must be the least likely candidate to take it compared to Jon, Dany, Stannis, Aegon, or Mace. Aeron is up to something but I don't know what he could muster that would be significant. What mystery would you like to see solved? Aegon and Jon's true heritage. I wouldn't be mad if Aegon was a Blackfyre. If that was the case then I would still be a huge supporter of him due to him being descended long ago from Targs. I also want to see what Brand finds. I believe that he will make a noteworthy discovery while he's holed up in that tree with BR. I also am not sure what Melisandre's endgame is so that would be nice to see what she is up to. I am also interested in the endgame of Doran, LF, and Varys as well. Will any Starks be reunited by the end of WoW? Tough question. I believe that Rickon, Sansa, and Jon stand the best chance. Arya and Bran are so far off on their own quests I think that they are the least likely to come back into the fold right now. Who will be the next person to take the IT? Mace. With the Lannister downfall of Kevan, Cersei, and Jaime, I think Mace being the opportunist that he is will take it from baby Tommen. That said, he won't hold it for long before Aegon grabs it. I think Jaime and Cersei will both die in each other's arms as they came into the world (making Jaime the valonquar) but that could be final book material. Which POVs are most likely to die?Barristan and Victarion will both perish in the Battle of Fire. Brienne will die after killing Lady Stoneheart, thus becoming an oathbreaker just like Jaime (I think these two people, on opposite sides of the fence at the beginning of the series, will eventually come to meet each other in the middle with Jaime gaining honor and Brienne understanding that sometimes a knight cannot keep their vows). Melisandre will sacrifice herself to bring Jon back. Davos will die after ensuring Rickon's safe passage back to the north. Will Dany have reached Westeros by the end of TWOW?No. She never will. She will unite the free cities of Essos under a single government and rule it herself, much as Aegon united the seven kingdoms. Will The Others have invaded Westeros by the end of TWOW?Yes but they will not be the mercilessly evil beings that people believe them to be... Any of their deaths will most likely be in A Dream of Spring especially judging by the Time for Wolves original title. Which POV Lannisters will remain standing?The implication that Tyrion may die is laughable. {Fuck, hope I haven't jinxed that}. Jaime, as Lady Stoneheart will most likely aid him, unless he gets his ass handed to him by some Other at the end. Which POVs are most likely to die?- Jon Connington - simply because he is already dying and I can't imagine that he has any legitimate medical aid necessary to cure his affliction. - Cersei Lannister - possibly at Varys' hand or Margaery Tyrell, as I think Margaery has more potential to got to a war of wills with Cersei more openly after AFFC. However, GRRM has said that the evil characters with cunning survive in this kind of world rather than the nice ones e.g. Ned is dead but Littlefinger lives. Although, a lion is creature of summer, not of winter. - Theon Greyjoy - Simply because the man is a wreck and his survival would be sort of meaningless, what is he going to do become King Reek the Gelding at the end of the war. However, perhaps GRRM has an interesting twist in line post Battle of Winterfell. - Victarion Greyjoy - Dany and the khalasar are going to hand him his rear end on a plate and make him blow that dragon horn. Will Dany have reached Westeros by the end of TWOW?No, 'cuz knowing GRRM, she may yet chill in Meereen for a few more books. I thought she would be there by the end of ADWD, but look at us now. Will the Others have invaded Westeros by the end of TWOW?I've always had a personal theory that I don't hold strong that the end of this book will see the devastation of the Seven Kingdoms at their hand. The seventh book will be set some years after this with the Stark children returning with Daenerys and her two as yet unconfirmed dragon riders. He's a stone's throw away and he will have the Dornish on his side to take a weakened King's Landing. Stannis may yet beat him or the Crow's Eye but to be honest I think it's him. Tommen may still pull through. He's been king for more books than Joffrey at this point I'd say. And by the end of ADOS it will be Hodor. Varys' statement in epilogue of ADWD has some merit but I honestly think he is just a puppet or a figurehead for Varys like he had in the Mad King. Also, I don't think he's a Blackfyre. I think she will begin a relationship with FakeGon, and tell her father he is Elia's son, but Doran will meet him and Varys for an audience at King's Landing once the war is over, then plot with an imprisoned Cersei to overthrow him as he knows the boy is a fake. Doran will turn against FakeGon and send Areo Hotah to obtain Dany and Barristan then support her conquest. She will use her dragons to overthrow Aegon who will roast FakeGon alive but not Varys. It transpires that Varys is the son of Aerion Brightflame, gained eternal youth in exchange for his manhood (okay that last bit was a joke but I think that if Varys is a Targ his connection is to Aerion Brightflame, as he would believe he has more right to rule. It would also explain why he got so close with Aerys. The Mad King wanted to keep an eye on a potential pretender). What role will the Iron Islands play?Euron Greyjoy will battle Dany's forces full on after capturing Highgarden and butchering the sons of Mace Tyrell. Margaery will become Mace's heir and coordinate an army to defeat them. The Crow's Eye will be defeated and become a hostage of the Tyrells. When Dany's forces arrive, he offers to become a general for Mace as he knows how to slay dragons from his knowledge and travels around Old Valyria. He will kill one of Dany's dragons in battle. He will become Margaery's new husband uniting two houses into a new kingdom. Mace will die and Euron will become the King of the Reach. He and Margaery will still a force to be reckoned with by ADOS. Which mystery would I most like solved?Benjen's fate. Don't care if he's dead or not it's annoying at this stage. The Horn of Joramund. Jon's heritage. More history about the Long Night, otherwise the Others are invincible. The murders in Winterfell. Will any Starks by reunited in TWOW?In his comatose state, Jon will meet Bran as Ghost. Arya's return will lead her to the Riverlands and to her Unmother. Sansa, unless her new marriage works out, will come to Winterfell and may meet Rickon or perhaps Jon. Will Jaime help Stoneheart defeat the Lannisters/Freys?Jaime's disillusionment with his sister implies that a purge of the Lannisters may yet occur. Jaime and Brienne will hound down the Freys. Black Walder will betray the Freys and his great-grandfather. Walder Frey will be taken away during the winter weather but his descendants will nearly all be dead before him. Jon Connington from Grey Scale Brienne in exchange for Pod and Jaime Barriston the Bold in the seige of Mereen Asha as a sacrfice to the Red God in place of Theon (since it is pretty clear at this point Theon has been gelded, although not as blunt as the show, I think Melisandre will argue that his kings blood has been weakened) Arianne from an assassination by Varys's little birds to help bring Dorne into the war Will Dany have reached Westeros by the end of TWOW? Dany will have united the Dothraki khalasars with the help of Drogon to prove her power and march to Mereen at the height of the battle. The Iron Fleet will be arriving around the same time breaking through the slavers' ships. As this is going on Tryion will then be able to convince Ben Plumm to switch sides again as Dany and the Iron Fleet appear proving he was on the losing side. Victarian will present the dragon horn, which I believe burns the user but not the blood of the dragon, and Dany will tame the dragons and set sail for Westros. They will arrive at in the epiloge just as Aegon did in ADWD. Will The Others have invaded Westeros by the end of TWOW? They will have breached The Wall but not at Castle Black. Probably one of the castles maintained by the wildlings who will send a rider to Castle Black as thousands of weights and Others pour through the breach. Is Jon still alive?He'll have survived, but his first POV will be in the form of Ghost as he recuperates. There might even be a Bran and Jon reunion via Bran's new found powers. If so, will Jon find out his true heritage by the end of TWOW?Possibly through Bran or Howland Reed, although I think the chances of that happening in TWOW are slim and will instead be seen in the subsequent book. What role will the Iron Islands play?I think the Damphair has something nasty in store for Euron and Victarion. The Damphair will stir the pot and cause revolt on the Iron Islands. That civil war will lead to the death of all of the remaining Krakens with the exception of Theon. (I feel like Theon will be guided by Bran and escape the whole mess) Which mystery would I most like solved?Where in the world is Benjen Stark? Whose baby was Aegon? Jon reuniting with Sansa and Rickon seems the most likely for me, but I doubt a Stark reunion will occur until the last book.
