Bowen Marsh Cast! (Maybe spoilers?)

So apparently it decided not to put my text on the first comment, so here.

He is a night's watchmen at the wall, and should be an important character next season.

I like him, he should be good. Though I expected someone a little more... Crannogmen-like, and scruffy.

He's set to appear in three episodes of next season.

That's too bad, although I don't see how they can leave that out. It'd be a perfect episode 9 thing, considering the way the 9's have been going so far, surprise; battle; surprise; battle;.... and now a surprise (you'd think)

Maybe they're just not giving all of the information, to keep it a secret. If they cut "it" completely, then I'm sure people will just explode in rage.

Yes, but Marsh has been confirmed to appear in just three episodes; and his agency has already stated the names of the directors he would work with. Those directors will be directing episode 1 to 6, which could means three things:

-The Ides of March happens in the sixth episode. Nearly impossible, since they neither have the time to develop that properly and they woudn't leave one of the main characters of the series out for 4 episodes.

-The Ides of March doesn't happen this season. My own choice, and, IMO, a wrong decision from D&D

-Bowen Marsh isn't the one who stabs Jon. This is highly unlikely, since they wouldn't cast him and then leave him out of the Ides.

Most probably, it's the third option. This Bowen Marsh guy (who hasn't been anounced as an impotant character) is probably one of the background NW members who has a few lines here and there. Either Thorne or Edd is going to stab Jon.

When they cast Marrilion the singer, I thought he would try to rape Sansa last season, but when he got his tongue cut out and just kinda dissappeard, his character's job changed completely. D&D might make someone else stab Jon, but like you said, it's highly unlikely.

Neither Edd nor Thorne will stab Jon, IMO. The first is his best friend in the NW now that Sam is leaving, and a fan favourite, and, at the end, has 0% reasons to do it.

And Alliser was quite badass in 4x09, admitting that Jon was right, and fighting like a boss. They seem to be taking a new direction with his character. Although, of course, has 10000 more reasons to do it than Edd.

The thing is, I would agree with you, if D&D hadn't done this already. Jon was supposed to be elected as LC in 4x10; instead, they left that for this new season.

The same could happen to the Ides. Both choices would me a mistake, pretty anti-climatic things.

yeah i agree. roles can be completely changed or they may wanna give the stabbing to a character more established...however, i dont see it happening this season. I dont know if they wanna leave the show watchers to wait an entire year to wait for jons fate...people may just get pissed off. it could be a season 6 opener possibly...dan and dave have been messing around with the way they do things. like ending with arya on a ship sailing for braavos as the last thing we see of season 4. end of season 5 may be more packed then the end of season 4 and they may just hold off...they also have slowed down jons story line quite a bit while accelerating others.

Personally, I'm fine with the stabbing not happening this season. I'd actually love to see it have a similar impact to Joffrey's death, and have it be the first or second episode of Season 6 where he gets stabbed. That way, we don't have a year to wait for the payoff, and if people hear Kit Harington's shooting after that, that sort of spoils the end result.

Please, please, please, please, please !!!!

PLEASE 1000X

The woman in your avatar would be PERFECT!

My own choices are either Katheryn Winnick (although she is impossible to cast right now, and even more for a secondary role like Val) or, my personal favourite, Tabrett Bethell, who already played a similar character in the "Legend of the Seeker".

But let's not got OT.
