Also it's a big place so we should meet at a certain spot or maybe one of the entrance gates ... map. Then those staying on maybe head over to the Rocks area for 6ish.I guess if the weather's miserable we leave our picnic supplies at home and just go to a cafe, there's not many places where you can picnic undercover in the city. Unless we head to the pedestrian tunnel under central station, and be entertained by fine busking as a bonus :thumbsdown: I can bring plastic cups, cheese, crackers and I've got some interesting vino in the cellar (read: cupboard under the bench) that's waiting to be drunk. stormborne Posted August 14, 2011 Author Share Posted August 14, 2011 hellosies!2pm sounds good - how about we meet at Queen Elizabeth 2 Gate? i will bring some cheese, nibbles, bottle of wine, knives, plates too. i can also bring my tome of a book - its the dodgy aus version and is starting to look a little worse for wear anyways, so i doubt that some extra man handling will hurt it :)forecast is apparently rain...so maybe we could decide friday night whether to go ahead or not, or i think i have everyones mobile numbers for a fri arvo text. the only places i really know of is the orient, the glenmore (rooftop is at least covered, if we still want the mega view), australian heritage hotel (where we had a meet awhile ago). i think any place should be ok so long as we have a few drinks on the table- shouldnt be hard ;) anyone have a preference?or what do you reckon B, being our local rocks specialist? arantius Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 Well, TBH, I'm thinking along those lines as well, I've been coughing for more than 3 weeks now :stillsick: I had 2 weeks off work, then worked last week still not 100% and then by end of the week I was worse and now phlegmmy and off work again. If everyone is okay with 3/4th September (Sat/Sun) when Neal is suppose to visit?Our original plan doesn't have to change too much. We can do the cheese and wine and in the afternoon, for those who stay, we can grab some food/booze with Neal and BeeTrix (both of whom will be available in the afternoon is that correct?).
