  1. Nope, I don't think they got anything after he was forced to sell some things. The lawyer overseeing his estate is quoted saying he'll do what he can to make sure the Goldmans get nothing. Maybe they will in the end, but who knows. ‘The Goldmans get zero, nothing’: OJ Simpson’s estate to fight payout to victims’ families | OJ Simpson | The Guardian Personally if I was a family member of either the Browns or Goldmans I'd make sure I got all his golf clubs. The fucker was playing on high end courses after he lost both the civil trial and criminal one in NV so he clearly wasn't broke.
  2. The jury still did a bad job. The physical evidence was as conclusive as you could hope for without catching OJ on camera and/or he admitting to it. His blood was at the scene. He was a known abuser who was very jealous about the people his ex was sleeping with. I could list a number of other things, but you already know the details. OJ didn't get off because of Fuhrman, he did so because multiple people on the jury were never going to convicted him and they were able to wait out the others because they all wanted to go home. This is exactly why the system needs to move quickly. There's no reason that trial should have lasted nearly a year.
  3. Would it have made things better if he was watching sportball in a very well made Elmo costume?
  4. A friend forced me and two others to leave a long extra innings game because at the time he couldn't pee in public. The things you do for love.
  5. Nah, it mostly comes across the same as people complaining about books in schools their children (if they even have them) don't attend.
  6. Just consider opioids or something as simple as being prescribed a pill for ADHD (often times when it shouldn't be). Mistakes were obviously made in several instances, but the visceral reaction to medication for potential trans individuals is more hostile and tends to come from those without it actually impacting them in any way.
  7. Does travel really matter anymore? I get the concerns from yesteryear, but so much has advanced since then. Getting rid of back to backs and scheduling regional road trips seems more important.
  8. Yup. If they're smart they'll just laugh at Iran and call it a day. Too bad their leader is a fucking dumbass who does what he thinks will protect him. President Skroob could do a better job. President Camacho would be ten steps ahead of that idiot and Skroob would be that far ahead of Netanyahu. What an asshole. You've been a jerk to me and I've let most of it slide. Just for starters, please capitalize words, especially countries. Iran more likely than not played some role in the initial attack, so it's hard to say they responded, especially when you factor in that they give zero shits about the Palestinian people. If everyone in Gaza and the WB died this second and it made their position 1% better they'd probably take that outcome.
  9. No disagreements. Melo is a curious figure because I do think he had top 25 all-time talent. He just never got anywhere close to it. I wonder what would have happened if the Pistons drafted him and/or he didn't force his way to the Knicks a year too soon. Oh well.
  10. Opens Google tabs. Yeah, Melo was better as a rookie, but I think it's fair to say Wade passed him in year two and I'm not sure if Melo really ever caught him again when Wade was healthy. The scoring output was pretty similar, but Wade impacted the game in a number of ways Melo didn't, especially on defense. I think Melo was born just a bit too soon because he would be a monster stretch four in today's game. Bosh might have been even better at it. Crazy those four went in the top five and then Darko is there as the bust. That's got to be one of the three best draft classes ever. There's some other interesting names on the list. I didn't know Korver was a late second round pick.
  11. I'd argue LeBron and Wade. The latter is possibly the third best ever at his position and lead a team to the title really quickly, plus LeBron needed him to get his first title. If the Heat won the title that first year Wade would have been the MVP. He just started breaking down soon after as LeBron peaked.
  12. Lol, a quick Google search shows the majority of articles calling for restraint are on the Israeli side after the attack. I only found one saying Iran showed restraint. The rest discussing the Iranian side were about what they should do before they attacked. I haven't heard anyone on NBC or CNN say they showed restraint, just that it was failed from the jump.
  13. They didn't show restraint, they're just not anywhere near as strong as they'd like people to think. Iran embarrassed themselves.
  14. You made more spelling and grammatical errors than Iran landed bombs. They attacked Israel because their stated goal is to always do so until it's destroyed. This isn't hard to understand. What's weird is when people wonder why they're confrontational with a state that wants them all to die. All of this could be solved tomorrow. Release the hostages and work out a lasting ceasefire, except that's not actually the goal on one side and increasingly doesn't look like it is on the other. But don't give me the BS that Iran didn't play a role in what sparked this.
  15. Seems like the worst result possible for the Wolves. Awesome...
  16. I'm not sure what to make of this, but to your original comment, Iran absolutely tried to attack Israel and do significant damage. Their failure to achieve their mission doesn't absolve them of the fact they did it and gives Israel the right to respond which shows just how stupid it was in the first place.
  17. I guess attempted murder is no longer a crime then?
  18. Your mom better watch out or else the old lady might gum her.
  19. That movie was such a disappointment. I still liked it, or at least parts of it, but I was expecting something great. Spaney has been in a few other movies I've seen, but they may have been smaller roles cause I don't remember her at all in them. Looks like she's one of the leads in a new Alien film, which btw I've heard nothing about.
  20. Honestly I'm just happy we got him to eat. He had a slider and some fries from White Castle and later I got him to eat some of the steak I made. It's not like a diet matters anymore. He can eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all I care.
  21. Iran wants a proxy so it can have plausible deniability, but there's little doubt they had some influence at the very least in the attack. To what degree will probably never be known.
  22. I'd almost be disappointed if they weren't trying to at the very least. Every developed country likely has the ability to do so in secret if they wanted to and there are plenty of developing countries that would have an interest in trying as well. Libya serves as an example. Again, I wouldn't assume they haven't started. It's very possible they felt no need to rush it in the past, but a very unstable Russia and US could inspire them to move forward. Japan is actually the country I find least likely of the bunch to do it. The combination of their historical horrors, cultural norms, political and legal systems just doesn't make all that much sense for them to do it. But to your last point, I wouldn't doubt every country that theoretically had the capability hasn't at least considered it regardless of whatever international treaties and resolutions they've signed.
  23. I wouldn't gamble on the Iranian government being overthrown. At least not anytime soon. The younger generations will probably moderate it a bit, but only by a nudge and that's probably the best anyone can hope for.
  24. I really don't recall the series (so I'm going to check it out), but the two movies are amazing cheese horror comedies.
