  1. If CW does make this, I don't expect it to look anywhere near as good as say Stark Trek: Strange New Worlds or Disney's or HBO's shows. Which is why I don't want a reboot of such a fantastic show to be done by CW. It deserves better. Maybe, at best, it will look like BSG Reimagined.
  2. I've read the novela Elder Race. It was fine. I liked it until the last act where apparently Is he intending to write sequels to it?
  3. That would make it the most cathartic superpower in the world. I don't know how the comics explain it, but my theory is that she increases the pressure of all fluids inside a person. So maybe she could make filled bottles pop.
  4. To be as strong as Homelander, your insides, skeleton, muscles etc. need to be extremely strong and dense. Like Ran said, if he event feels some pressure, he would act immediately. He has laser vision, too, so it would be a matter of how fast he can laser her head off vs her exerting enough internal pressure to cause his skull to pop. Personally, I wasn't convinced that Starlight couldn't have burned Vicky's eyes out before Vicky managed to pop her skull.
  5. I think it's a case of someone putting the decimal in the wrong place. Though even $100 would be too much.
  6. I mean, it's a good book, but it's not a thousand bucks good book.
  7. I liked the parallel between Soldier Boy and Homelander regarding how others have always perceived them, especially their original love interests.
  8. Btw, I see a lot of people online freaking out when Victoria gave her daughter V because of the randomness of the powers. But I don't think that's totally correct - the person's DNA plays a major role in what powers they get, no? Ryan seems to have inherited his dad's powers, or close enough. And the new tempV gives Butcher the same powers every time he takes a dose. So I think Victoria's daughter, if she survives, will have similar powers to her mother.
  9. I thought it was funny that the guy immediately assumed that the baddies had to be Iran, because nuclear treaties and such, but then the final act takes place in a snowy, forested place that's just off a sea or ocean coast. Yep, that's Iran for sure.
  10. Gotta love it when people see only what they want to see and switch off all analytical parts of their brain, patting themselves on the back at the same time, that they are correct in their assumptions and conclusions. https://www.airforcetimes.com/off-duty/military-culture/2022/06/15/this-angry-critic-gave-top-gun-maverick-just-half-a-star/
  11. lol, freaking Tom Cruise https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tom-cruise-had-perfect-response-to-miles-tellers-medical-emergency-on-top-gun-maverick-064644571.html
  12. Full length trailer of the made for TV movie of the year
  13. I also enjoy that a lot of people roleplay into it on the Vought International YouTube channel by leaving comments in the vein of how people comment on news clips, music videos, or movie trailers.
  14. Yeah, and the pace of this season has been fast. Homelander ended season 2 and began season 1 at a low point, and now he's at the top only halfway through the season. Some sort of comeuppance has to be coming.
  15. Technically they come out Thursday evening in the US to match a midnight release in the UK. That has been Amazon's MO for a while.
  16. Clicked on this thread with trepidation, preparing for disappointment. I'm glad we got some worthy news and that Scott is feeling better and writing again.
  17. Damn this season is brutal. I have no idea how far they'll go.
  18. https://www.theverge.com/2022/6/8/23160209/nasa-james-webb-space-telescope-meteor-strike-impact Please let this continue to be a good thing in what has been shaping out to be a shitty year.
  19. Btw, it took me a second view to recognize Sean Patrick Flannery as Guardian. I haven't seen him in anything since The Boondock Saints. With that helmet on he is unrecognizable. I only suspected it was him in that final scene thanks to his haircut.
  20. I assume there is no actual weapon, but maybe the Russians enhanced Soldier Boy somehow and he's now at Homelander's level. He was already nearly as strong according to Butcher. So I assume the Boys' plan will be to get them to kill each other. That being said, and I don't expect Homelander to die this season unless it's the last season, suped Butcher v. Homelander may be the final fight that perhaps takes Homelander down a peg.
  21. Well if you've seen the full trailer that's already answered.
  22. I've always assumed that they just didn't want to offend anyone and the baddies are a made up country. China already banned the movie just because Maverick had a Taiwanese symbol on his jacket.
  23. heh The first movie's antagonists were also faceless and in made up planes, too. In this case, at least, the planes were based on real ones without declaring them. *cough Russian *cough
