  1. It always amuses me, when I see these jokers, trying to defend a baby killer. Slynt is truly such a tragic character, lol
  2. I had no idea Janos Slynt had so many fans, until these threads started popping up, lol
  3. Saw it twice the year it came out and read the book on top of that. I think I’m set, lol
  4. I hope House of the Dragon shows the Freys next season and has them be one of Rhaenyra’s most loyal supporters, just like in the novel. It’s a rather fun subversion.
  5. Saw the first episode. Man this show is such a breath of fresh air. I loved it.
  6. I don’t recall Oberyns friends really having much effect at KL.
  7. I had a relationship in high school with someone 2 years younger than me and was never considered weird. Maybe it’s just an area thing. In fact I believe a friend of mine had one with a person one year younger, again nobody said anything to him, as far as I can recall.
  8. I liked that change as well. Though like stated above I was only using 1/2 of my mind while watching that episode, lol
  9. So funny thing happened this morning. I've been playing Persona 3 Reload this month, since I'm a huge fan of the series. Now Persona 3 has long segments of the game, where the main characters must climb up several dozens of the 264 floors of Tartarus, through which the party has to fight wave after wave of shadows. In short, these segments of the game, usually eat up several hours of the game and the story stops dead, whenever the game forces you to deal with them. They're basically a form of power leveling. So to make a long story short, during these segments of the game, I usually listen to podcasts, episodes of The Daily Show and other things I like, just to help the time pass. Anyway, just for the hell of it, I choose to watch episodes 5, 6, and most of 7, while climbing floors 155 to 172 of Tartarus and something crazy happened. The half of my brain that was watching the Blue Spirit episode really liked it. I wonder if that's the key to enjoy watching this show to me; to play a video game while watching it, lol
  10. So watched the 3rd and 4th episode and my fears for this show seem to be right. They're basically treating Avatar the same way the studio treated The Hobbit. They're turning a children's story into a fantasy epic and in doing so completely destroying the spirit of the series.
  11. I will say one thing positive, I really like the actress playing Azula. Her performance is great and she's likely my favorite child performer on the show. Now the scene in which she is introduced is complete trash. I think what annoys me, is the fact that I can literally tell most of this show is filmed in front of a green screen. Most of the outside scenes, feel very fake and the lighting is often very unnatural.
  12. I would have switched up the missions he gave Oberyn and Quentyn. I’d send the strong handsome guy, who knows the east and has connections there to meet with Dany and my ignorant son who looks like a frog to KL, so my enemies think Dorn is weak.
  13. I mean there are some amazing cosplayers that can do it really well. You’d think Hollywood would just hire them if they can’t do it, lol
  14. I mean in ADWD Victarion feels rather upset, that he had to pay for his food at a local tavern using "the gold price". He acts like it makes him less of a man or something stupid like that.
  15. It has more to do with tone. The One Piece live action show made some changes, but the over all tone and message of the story remained the same. They also did a great job with the flashbacks, which have always been one of the best parts of the story.
  16. It sort of reminds me of the RLM term, "just like, but worse". I feel like I was spoiled when I saw the One Piece live action show and it ended up being really good. That being said, I'll at least watch a few more episodes before I give up on this show. In some cases shows do improve after time.
  17. I often wonder how "the iron price" works. How do you have an economy, when the only way you're allowed to get money, is by killing the person who has it and taking it off his/her dead body, lol
  18. I’ve never been a fan of Williams; though I admit she was the best of the Stark children.
  19. Really? I thought the kids were pretty horrible in the early seasons of Thrones; Joffrey’s actor being the only exception. The kids playing Bran and Sansa just couldn’t emote and felt like wax dolls at times. They got better over time though.
  20. Saw the first episode, before work. This is no One Piece Live action. Some great visuals and costumes, but the acting is very stiff; which is understandable for the younger cast. Though the actor who plays Sokka is easily the worst in my book and hurts my head, whenever he opens his mouth. At least it's not the M Night film though and firebenders no longer need heat sources to burn stuff; such a lame power, lol
  21. The majority of the cast is played by child actors. As I said weeks ago, the acting would always be the most difficult hurdle.
  22. Actually, for a while, Hollywood wanted nothing to do with him. He was on a downward spiral of daily indulgences of alcohol and drugs. He was even arrested in 1999. He choose to get himself clean. After cleaning up, one of the movies he was in was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which is an R rated film, with a very fun tone to it. Jon Favreau loved that film and fought to get RDJ into Iron Man and the studio wasn't convinced until they saw his amazing screen tests as Tony Stark. Truth be told, RDJ has one of the most amazing comeback stories in Hollywood history and might be considered perfect casting, for a hero in a redemption arc. Even Kevin Feige has recently mentioned that casting RDJ was possibly the biggest risk his company has ever made.
  23. They're probably setting up the 3rd film.
  24. He was just in Oppenheimer, a movie that might win best picture.
  25. I believe it's her first court session, which takes place at the end of ASoS's, where some slaves ask to be sold back into slavery, because they're starving. It's been a while though. I just know, the issue does come up in the books, because when facing starvation, people are willing to do anything. I agree, killing the Great Masters, would solve a lot of problems. At the very least, she should of stripped them of all their wealth and pyramids; at least from the ones who were clear as day not loyal to her.
