  1. Apart from the guy in charge of finances ok people I guess from my limited understanding of German politics. No Bavarian I heard which is a plus I guess.
  2. I think Last online on the 14th of October according to his profile. Might be taking a break. Might have been banned if he went of the rails(the posts would be deleted). Hopefully it is one of these reasons as we are in the middle of a pandemic and Bavaria is not doing that well right now. We might have elections soons. I'm not 100% that they will go through with the vaccine mandate now.
  3. Well Kurz is stepping down as party leader and his other political functions. But it looks like the puppet chancellor that replaced him has to go and we are getting a new chancellor. According to information leaked to the media on his closest is planned a chancellor Karl Nehammer our current minister of the interior who did nothing to enforce covid-19 measures for 1 1/2 and got told by the police union when he started trying that they are neither capapable nor interested in enforcing the lockdown for the unvaccianted(which was a very short live experiment anyway). I guess the plan of Scholz and Co. to rule after the pandemic is over did not work out. I guess collation talks on top of unnecessary deaths is something new.
  4. Der talentierte Herr Schmid A great documentary if you interested the the affairs around Kurz. The current head of the ORF is being replaced by a Kurz drone and most people think he focused on this to ensure that Kurz will never make a comeback.
  5. So is Lauterbach get the health ministry or have the "Pandemic is over" fuckwads won?
  6. Blackout preparation has been a goal of our government for quite some time now. There was a planned focus on information about that recently.
  7. You can say what you want that guy is persistence personified. Good song though.
  8. My state of Austria has an incidence of 1271... https://www.nachrichten.at/meine-welt/gesundheit/coronavirus-aktuelle-zahlen-und-daten-auf-einen-blick;art114,3240868#Oberoesterreich
  9. Intentional I suspect as nobody wants the blame. Here our puppet chancellor has orders to do as little as possible to show how shit things are without Kurz I'm starting to believe.
  10. We have the worst vaccination rates in western Europe and our right wing police forces seem to be the least interested in enforcement. Completely excepted although even I was more optimistic than this. Edit: https://twitter.com/BFaast/status/1456178292923506690?s=20 Our finance minister and Kurz "Praetorian" Blümel a month ago. The most important minister because he is in control of the funding of COVID measures.
  11. Is Spahn trying to set the new government up for failure? Ending all Covid-19 measures to ensure high numbers once the new government assumes office? Smart if evil movie I guess.
  12. Enforcing laws because they hurt left wing scum is a reward by itself. Otherwise there might be resources available to focus on right wing violence! Can you imagine?
  13. Things should be interesting... Kurz will remain party leader and will also take leadership of the ÖVP in our parliament. He gets immunity from prosecution but the ÖVP claims that he will request for waiver of immunity himself. The new chancellor is nominally an independent(but was nominated by the ÖVP for his current post of foreign minister) which might sound good but it mainly means that there is not faction in the ÖVP he can depend on and he is completely at the mercy of Kurz. Looks like a bit of a Putin/Medvedev move at this point. But once Kurz ist not longer in charge of the goverment his internal enemies might come out of the woodwork and support the new chancellor. It is a shitty outcome but the maybe the best possible at this point. Although the Greens should have tried to get rid of the finance minister too as they are also prosecuting him for the same thing and it is the ministry where most of the evidence is found. But I think that they were surprised that Kurz caved in(I think there was pressure from his own party and the president) and demanding more for continuing the goverment might have been too much. Nobody on the Green side wants to work with the FPÖ. I think it is a win for the Greens(and the President I guess who is still green at heart) but also the best possible outcome at this point for Kurz. The SPÖ and NEOs lost the gamble I feel because talking with the FPÖ pissed a lot of people off. Edit: There are already two stories from ÖVP sources. One that is all the idea of Kurz because the Greens gave him no choice and that he did it for the GREATER GOOD or that the regional leaders of the ÖVP got together and more or less forced Kurz to resign to avoid a collapse of the government and a 4 way coalition without the ÖVP.
  14. Austrian politics refuse to stay out of the German politics anyway... This union might violate several treaties though.
  15. I like the quote in my sig. It is from Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri and it describes really well how our world works imho.
  16. I must say I and my gf really loved the Santa Claus episode. The rest were ok. I used to be really into Neal Asher and kinda enjoyed the episode based on his story. I gave up on him when he went crazy when he comes to climate change though and he is also a brexit loon.
  17. I hope we get more stuff based on stories by Alastair Reynolds. Maybe a Merlin story or something from the Revelation Space universe. Stuff based on works by Greg Egan or Robert Reed would be awesome too.
  18. I have been holding off it because I did not realize what it was. The list of authors alone looks awesome.
  19. I always return profile stalks! :P
