This might not be a deal breaker for them if they think he's the best person for the role. They've re-used actors in minor roles a few times (Quill's mother is in Captain America getting an autograph) and Gemma Chan had a decent role in Captain Marvel and is now playing one of the Eternals.

Roku and Amazon Fire TV don't have an app for it yet because apparently the companies can't come to an agreement. Before you subscribe make sure your cable provider isn't already giving it to you free. I posted a list above. It's not something I'd pay extra for at the moment, but since they're giving it to me with the HBO subscription it's nice to have the extra movies.

So today is the last day to get a "pre-order" deal on HBO Max. They have no new content right now though, just all the HBO stuff and Warner's library of TV and movies. I didn't realize a lot of HBO subscribers get it for free though their cable company. If you subscribe to HBO with any of these companies you get it free: Comcast is the biggest one missing.

Has anyone made an app where you open it, put in a movie or tv show and it searches all the streaming services (or maybe just the ones the user subscribes to) and finds it and plays it? That would be great. I'm not sure if it would be possible without a lot of cooperation between the services (do any of them have APIs outside developers can use?) but it would be great.

I'm having a weird problem with the search feature. It works if I don't use any of the options and just type in the box and hit enter. But if I try to select "topics" (as opposed to articles) and "titles only" and select a specific forum to search I get a "Please wait X seconds before attempting another search" message regardless of how long it's been since my last search attempt.

So in light of this huge Cloudflare security flaw and the fact that I've seen Cloudflare error messages when this site is down I'm gonna go ahead and change my password. Is this something everyone should be doing? Maybe an announcement post should be pinned?

This made my day even before I realized "Cassie" was Gilly.

As much as I personally prefer reading at my own pace to listening to people read things to me, I think this is a neat idea. But how hard is it for you to correct a mistake on a video like that? Despite our best efforts false info and assumptions do sometimes make it onto the wiki. While it's easy to edit the text I'd imagine correcting something like that in a video would be harder, and we'd be totally reliant on you personally to do so.

I've found another questionable alias. Jaime's list includes "Cripple." Which again like a few of the others I've objected to in the past is an insult, not an alias. The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, but I don't think anyone would argue that if a character said "cripple" everyone would know he meant Jaime. "The Dwarf" works for Tyrion, as he's commonly called that and is essentially the dwarf as far as noble families go. But "Cripple" shouldn't qualify as a Jaime alias in my opinion any more than it should be Willas Tyrell's. Edit: or Bran's! so weird that I thought of Willas before Bran.

Even though the reveal in question is a surprise to just about no one, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to keep it off the wiki at least for now. People reading the wiki may not want show spoilers. I notice the other two major show reveals that we know came from Martin are not on the wiki pages for those characters.
-
Generally speaking Targaryens are not fireproof. Martin once said that Daenery's experience with the funeral pyre was "a one time magical event." There's still some debate as to the extent of Daenerys's resistance to heat and fire, Martin may even have changed his mind since he claimed it was a one time thing years ago, we don't know. But we do know for sure that Targaryens have burned. Aerion Brightflame from the Dunk & Egg stories burnt to death after drinking wildfire. Rhaenys "The Queen who never was" Targaryen was burnt to death in the Dance of Dragons, while Aegon II received horrible burns in the same battle.

I'm reasonably sure that it was in the app at one time. I didn't see it myself but I got confirmation from two separate posters. Sadly the search function is disabled and finding older threads from the old forum is iffy anyway. Here's one thread I found through google that mentions it: Maybe it was removed because it was wrong or Martin changed his mind about it? Edit: I also found this post: But have not yet found the exchange where Ran told me to eat cheese doodles. Edit again: Here it is. Last edit I swear: I found a post of mine earlier in that thread stating that the information was on the page for Qarth. Check there.

It'd be considered semi-canon because it hasn't yet appeared in the books. Martin could still change his mind about it. I don't have the app but is there a "Dragonbinder" article? I have read on this forum before that it's in there somewhere.

I'm fairly sure that would qualify as either commentary or criticism, and so fair use would apply. but I'm not a lawyer. Honestly I've never heard of any network going after someone for using images from already released shows like that. Generally it's only leaked content that draws their attention. Though if you're really concerned I would suggest you just draw hilarious mustaches on all the characters. That should certainly cover you by establishing it as a parody.

Unfortunately the software that linked forum accounts to wiki accounts did not get updated when the forum software did. So even once you make your three posts you won't be able to log in as a wiki editor. There's currently no simple way for them to allow new wiki editors without just opening it up to anybody, which they won't do because they fear vandalism. So until a solution is found you and a bunch of other people are stuck waiting. It sucks.

I think the Sons of the Dragon reading gave us our first hard confirmation of this. (this not a direct quote from the reading) It was suggested in the books too, with Daenerys promising Jorah a dragon-forged Valyrian Steel sword back in book one. And the whole Dragonsteel thing. It may have been mentioned in the worldbook as well, I'd have to search through it.
-
The source should be changed to something from the books, and "keeps its edge forever" might be overstating it. I believe we're told "nothing holds an edge like Valyrian Steel." But the other two facts are true. They just need book sources instead of one from the show. Well all that info comes from one source, so I assume that's why individual statements like that aren't sourced. I suppose someone could go through and list which episode each fact comes from. I only played the first episode, but doesn't the dialogue change based on your choices? Is it possible the reason you don't remember House Branfield's origins being mentioned is because of the path you followed in the game?

This is a minor thing that I doubt is bothering anyone, but I noticed that some threads have multiple replies but somehow zero views.
