1. Yeah, I've whitelisted the domain on Adblock, have the little green thumb, but still getting the pop-up. Don't know how or if you're allowed to do photos here, but have a screen cap.
2. a couple of photographs she did for a brand which name I have completely forgotten, and she was very lovely.

That would be G Star Raw, photos by Anton Corbijn ;)

3. I'm being slowly won over by the "nay"-crowd. It's like gun control. Just because a few people go mental with guns, you want to take away our GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS?!?!?! It's just not that important to have this feature. It's cute, and it might be slightly useful (at the most), but if it upsets some people and make them want to leave, I say fuck it. I can't remember ever seeing anyone asking for the rating system when we didn't have it. I think posts that would warrant a large number of minuses have always been dealt with quite effectively on this board anyway. So maybe just keep the pluses? I don't know, but I am drunk, and I wish that Nasrudin's Shadow would serenade me.
4. I know you're used to 16 or more, sorry we only have 8

5. Thanks for putting together what looks like an absolutely awesome cast. Best of luck with the rest!
6. Well, if you want to you can start from here and work your way through all 30 Goodkind threads. Or you could read this. Or just choose life, kill some unarmed peace protesters, kick a girl in the jaw, have sex with something that has a barbed phallus and enjoy it, force people to eat their testicles and pick arrows out of the air. /end digression
7. You should check out the Terry Goodkind threads sometime, though. You smell like lemming.
8. Ease up, homeboy/girl. I don't know you, you don't know me. Geek, nerd, dork, call it what you like. If someone does LARP or SW re-enactments, I think it's safe to say the majority of their suggestions for various aspects of a TV series will be bogus. We're talking about the kind of people who are somehow stuck in a pre-pubescent emotional state of mind, who are not necessarily particularly gifted within any field, but typically spend a lot of their time on archetypal escapist activities. Often hygienically challenged. Poor eye-hand coordination. Penchant for junk food and comic books. Little to no experience of interacting with the opposite sex. Will not be well versed in literature, philosophy or the arts. Antiquated gender views to be expected. Likely to have seen the light and bought a black leather coat after having watched the Matrix, symbolising their vain hope that their feeling of displacement and incompatibility with the world they find themselves locked in a seemingly neverending struggle with is a result of it being naught but an illusion. These are the people whose voices I would not like to be heard. Whose prayers I would not like to see answered. One example is the amount of people who want epic/symphonic/viking/what-have-you metal music to score the series. This is a truly horrible idea, and betrays cognitive issues and a lack of ability to abstract on the part of the advocate. I admit I am amused by your idea of an "intolerant 20th century mindset (that proliferates, no less!)" . Are you trying to insinuate that geeks, as a sort of socially incompetent ethnic minority, have been stigmatised and persecuted throughout the last hundred years? So straighten up, breathe in, chill out and get down. You dig?
9. Hey, D&D, nice of you to communicate with the fans. Welcome to the boards! My thoughts: HBO know their shit. While fans of a series will mostly be well-meaning in their advice, most people who are involved enough to post on a dedicated message board are bound to have rather strong geeky tendencies. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but I sure don't want to see people who run around in the woods playing LARP or recreate Star Wars scenes have any say whatsoever in any part of the production of this series. As an example, loads of people on this board seem to be of the opinion that Buffy was a great tv series. This bewilders and bemuses me, and if this turned out to be anything close to that extremely cheesy and poorly acted (and written) pap, I for one would not watch more than one episode. Enough ranting? No. I would much rather see good actors than actors that are the right age (regarding the kids). With very, very few exceptions, child actors are painful to watch, and can completely ruin the immersion of the viewer (in this case, me). As I also generally think the "child POVs" are the weakest of the series, I wouldn't mind seeing most of them aged a bit. I would rather see Sansa well acted by a girl some years older than she is in the books than ineptly portrayed by some girl who happens to be the right age. I would love to see original early music used in the scoring of this series. Medieval and Renaissance music has a rich array of works that would go beautifully with the imagery of the books, without ruining the suspension of disbelief. HBO seems to be doing good with soundtracks as well, though, so I'm not too worried. I guess all that's left to say is good luck. I'm glad I'm not the one who has to try and fit everything in the books into a tv series. Some major characters and events will have to be cut, as far as I can comprehend, and that must be an ungrateful job. Some people are gonna be angry no matter what. I sure am glad that it is HBO who have picked up the series and that GRRM have not had to compromise on that. The adaptation couldn't have been in better hands, in my opinion. Buona Ventura!
10. This is a good one. The first paragraph lends itself to an ambiguous interpretation. "Be relentless" and "expect no mercy". Both very fitting. I think it's also safe to say that Terry's agent is a hack: A ripple of history in the making. Sig-worthy. Ready to finally start working? Ok, I'm not native to the great États-Unis, but how big a difference is there between Nebraska and Maine? It sounds like he moved from Mongolia to Hawaii or something. And I think "Everyone" was trying to postpone the inevitable for as long as humanly possible. "When you retire, Terry. Not before." Dude. When your inner vision is an all-Corian kitchen... And what's with the coffin door? Dracula fetish? And isn't a point of Objectivist design and architechture that every detail must serve a purpose? That there is nothing superfluous or strictly ornamental about it? What's so fucking functional about an entire kitchen made from Corian? Cause with a map like that, you sure as hell need an impressive decorative border. Drawing map = 2 minutes Drawing stippled vine pattern = 150 hours Getting paid by the hour by the publisher = priceless (well, not really, but you know) Uh, yeah. And what about Maine made moving there the final step? Higher chicken frequency? And what "novels" would that be, Terry? That you'd have to read where no "judgemental eyes" could see you? Fanny Hill? Lady Chatterley's Lover? Kama Sutra? Letters from prison? And the fact that they had this effect on you led you to believe they would make for interesting fantasy books. Flawless logic there, Terry. Notice the past tense there, guys.
11. I think we need to tone down the personal attacks. I don't really see the point in or joy derived from bashing Mystar. It's sort of like beating up a mentally challenged person. It doesn't make you cool, it just leaves people with a bad taste in their mouths. And I don't think any of you should attack anyone for spelling or grammar mistakes. You make enough of your own. I let a lot slide here. And how about we try to focus on the writing and interviews etc. of Goodkind, rather than resort to ad hominem attacks. Just calling him a douchebag is not very impressive. I also think the obsession with post counts is lame and unworthy of these threads. It makes Ro's arguments against them stick a little better. To rectify the mistakes that some of you newly ascended are currently making, I will be posting a new excerpt of WFR with comments shortly. To get us back on track. Consider yourself admonished.
12. Dammit, I have to see if I can be arsed to find something.
13. That's right, fuckers. I still rule.

14. Read my lips:

NO FUCKING WAY
