^Sophie or the party? I kid, I kid.

But yeah, the GoT cast plus alcohol would make for a good event, for sure. Other than the Dorne storyline, I wonder who else's finished shooting btw? I think the Northern folks will still be at it until the actual wrap.

Dark Sansa has it going on, so, yeah, Sophie is pretty.

Other than the Northern people, the only other ones I can think of are those finishing up interior shooting. Whoever they could be.

D&D are hoping everyone forgot that, but remember Tyrion also tells Theon "I believe your uncles were responsible" so there are continuity errors but in D&D defense I dont think they imagined how popular the show would be and they didnt have the broad strokes and ending at that time

The fact that Theon has uncles doesn't create any inherent requirement that we meet them.

It doesn't look like we will, if we were to it would probably be in a later episode again and filming would have hinted at it. the only major set pieces that could warrant it would be the battles of ice or fire or an extended Daznak's Pit. Daznak's is in episode 9 but so are some other scenes from outside Meereen so it's not happening there and of the two battles we can surmise that the fire one is out at least for season 5 and that the battle of ice, although possibly in, won't be a full episode.

It will probably be like the Purple Wedding, a significant part of the episode, but not everything. There's almost no way there would be an episode of just one thing this season. They're cramming more pages into ten episodes than ever. Even with all that's been cut, there just isn't time for that when there is so much to cover. Plus, there isn't really a reason to devote a whole episode to something like that this season - for budget and storytelling purposes. The only way they would have a single topic be an episode is if they broke something off from the main season like, "A Very Greyjoy Kingsmoot Christmas Special"

I'd watch that.

I can just imagine Asha and Damphair squabbling over a Christmas cracker while Vic sits in the corner brooding that he didn't get the new bike he wanted and that he should have got Euron's.

Edit: I think I just accidentally summed up the entire Kingsmoot there minus house Codd which realistically should be left outside sulking and the weirdos from the lonely light who are like everbody's embarrassing uncle dickhead who turns up uninvited and proceeds to play his Jethro Tull 33s on full volume while getting drunk on the family whisky..

I guess I was assuming that Myrcella wouldn't actually make it out of Dorne in the books - she isn't unambiguously out of Dorne at the end of book 5. It would be strange for Doran to let an important hostage go while going to war against her family.

I could see Doran letting Myrcella go in the show if he wants to pursue a Trystane / Dany alliance, but it makes more sense in both mediums for Doran to keep her (though he might agree with the concept of sending her back while procrastinating the execution).

I agree. There was deliberate stalling on Doran's part. A LOT of stalling. He made sure that it took several months longer than necessary for Balon Swann to get to Sunspear. He doesn't want to give up Myrcella.

Now he has sent Balon after Darkstar. That is more stalling on his part. Myrcella will not be leaving Dorne until Balon, her KG escort is back from his mission.

I don't know why people have doncluded so easily that she is already on her way to KL. There is pretty much no sign of it.

Instead I think GRRM is going to give us a twist:

1. Either Doran knows Aegon is fake and is hedging, in which case he may pull his own version of Queenmaker and arrange for Myrcella to marry Aegon, not Arianne. Then his commitment of Dornish resources to Aegon could be more tepid.

2. Doran plans for Myrcella to die once all the Aegon cards are in place.

The presumed marriage between Arianne and Aegon is nothing more than a presumption, since while certainly Arianne is on her way to meet Aegon, nowhere does it say the goal of the meeting is her marriage.

Not really news at all BUT I was just scrolling through the compilation of this years set pics on gameofthronesfan.org and I noticed that Roger Ashton-Griffiths (our Mace Tyrell) wore a fake beard this year, even though last year his was a real beard. (There are set pics of him in costume clean-shaven and then pics of the fake beard being applied and then of him bearded, all in sets of photos taken on the same day). Strange that.

Because Doran explicitly says he's sending her to King's Landing along with Nymeria, to an audience to whom he has no reason to lie, seeing as they're openly discussing treason against the Iron Throne?

He had a beard? All I remember was the mustache to end all mustaches. His voice was surprisingly cool. Not now Mace!

Just a chin-beard really and a curled mustache. I guess he just never grew it this time around.

They've likely done the same to Roger Allam this year (presuming he's returned) since he's been very clean-shaven recently, despite the fact that he can grow a GREAT beard.

You're right. Though the Dorne chapters really are a mess. Let's hope the show straightens them out and helps Doran make up his mind.
