Deaths in asoiaf.

oathkeeper II

Recommended Posts

i don't know if this is mentioned before..but i found that the manner of Jon's 'assassination/murder/betrayal' is similar to that of Caesar's....

Since asoiaf is loosely based on real world history...are there any similarity in other deaths in the series with real history?(except for red wedding)

And there is that Jesus association to Jon.

Some elements of Christian Mythology have entered the books, the public betrayal and sacrifice of Jon is one of them.

Dany the saviour...

and Tyrion the non-believer, doubting Thomas.

Elements of Christian mythology in Martin's books and their dialectic transformation would of course be worth a separate thread, given that it is christmas.
