ASOIAF Limericks & Rhymes

Using any form of poetry you want, make up a poem about a character, place, object, event (anything you want, really) from ASOIAF.

The only rule is it must relate to the series.and should be real facts. Preferably a rhyming form, not a haiku.

Example Limerick (there are small variations of syllable counts in this poem type, all are fine)

When Arya was a small girl,

She thought she’d give fighting a whirl.

Now with Needle, she’s sewn,

As they say “it is known”

She’ll kill with a smirk and a twirl.

Simple couplets are fine, bonus points for sonnets ;)

Anyway, just a lark. Fun brain and language exercise.

Kings have sex at a steady pace

No wonder most kids have his face

But queens have sex too

When brothers are nude

Make bastards legit so realms safe

Realms not grateful as one would feel

War was declared by Bittersteal

Heroes and cravens

Killed by Bloodraven

In centuries the realm may heal

Ser Jaime has a reputation

for sin with no hope of salvation

Despite the incest

He may have progressed

and been freed since his hand's amputation

Cersei took her walk of great shame,

no regrets for her sins all the same.

Since Joffrey's grim wedding

She's obsessed with helping

Their Tommen, the First of his Name

(LB, awesome last lines there, packs a punch! Hugo, love the history, awesome stuff.)

Young Robb was the king of the Starks.

Yes he and his men had some larks

'Til he tumbled a maid

who wasn't a-Frey-d

Now his direwolf no longer barks.

That's really good.

The War of Five Kings was a bust,

that surely unsettled the dust.

They burned all the food,

which was awfully rude.

Now the smallfolk have nary a crust.

The beautiful Cersei of Casterly

has plans that she thinks of as masterly

but in truth she's a dupe

to a shadowy group

whose secret intentions are dastardly.

A reaver's a warrious thing,

as his sails fill with air and take wing.

They'll take all your loot,

and your daughters to boot,

and they named an unholy man king.

Proud Asha has royal-ish kin

but the one with the crown is pure sin.

And while Stannis is great,

he won't take her bait.

It's a grey sort of joy that she's in.

Little Arya's resourceful and smart.

From one place to another she'll dart.

Yet even with Needle

she can't sew or wheedle

away the pain lodged in her heart.

Theon had the greatest of joys

but was also the worst of the boys

he trusted a villain

with dubious skillin'

and he's since been deprived of his toys.
