Mme Erzulie Posted June 27, 2015 Share Posted June 27, 2015 My favourite soundtrack of all time is Paul Romero's reworking of classical masterpieces for Heroes of Might & Magic II The different terrain music, win/lose tracks, and first and foremost, the town view pieces. As a young boy, I was completely transfixed and would often be reluctant to leave the town view screens before the music stopped. It added so much to the atmosphere and immersion, and really sucked you into the game and story. A close second is the hatchery soundtrack of these dragon games, based on the How to Train Your Dragon movies. eyenon15 Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I always thought these threads should have two categories.Music made specifically for the game that it appears in and music that was bought for the game it appears.It's way easier for say GTA to purchase the rights for already known great music than to compose original music for a game.
