If the faith militant decides to execute Margery Tyrell during her Trial

The chances are pretty good now that both Mace and Tarly will decide to not allow the Faith to try Margaery and instead declare her innocence through Tommen - both Mace and Tarly tried to get Kevan to agree to that while he was still alive. With Kevan now dead Mace has no reason to play nice with the Faith.

This is a good point.. even though Kevan´s argument is as strong as ever.

One reason why they could play ball with the HS, is overconfidence in the innocence of margaery... but even if the Faith does declare her guilty.. Mace still holds the king.. he could make him sign a pardon..

i think this is likely since it would stain margaerys reputation forever... the current regime should lose the love of the smallfokl before aegon makes his move.

Do that, and the whispers will follow Margaery the rest of her life.

Again... Mace is Hand of the King, with a completely pliable king. He has his best commander with a military force in the capital. Why is he going to hand over his daughter again? They can proclaim her innocence without her being in the room.

Aren't the Ironborn going after Oldtown? Mace might have to use his army to defend or retake that city.

Anyhow: I think that the unthinkable will happen: Cersei and Varys kill Marg in such a way that the Lannisters are blamed. The Faith, the Tyrells and Martells forget their differences and make an alliance with Aegon (what Varys would want). The city rebels against the Lannisters, kills Tommen. Cersei escapes to CR. Aegon takes the throne.

I've considered the idea that Tyene may end up becoming one of Margaery's judges in the role as the Maiden - however, I'm not sure if this would make sense in regards to the time line. The Sand Snakes seem to begin their journey to KL only after the queens have been arrested, and it would thus be huge stretch to assume that Tyene can travel to KL, win the trust of the High Septon, and join the judges on the trial before it is conducted - if it happens at all.

For that to happen we'd have to assume Margaery's trial is postponed more or less indefinitely but Mace has it made clear already that he'll only march against Aegon after his daughter has been cleared of all charges - so we should assume that this is going to happen. Mace may take the quicker road through Tommen but this will not sit well with the High Septon and eventually bite Tommen/the Tyrells in the back if Tarly/Mace fail to defeat the Golden Company in battle - or if the Tyrells do not only face the Golden Company and elephants but also Lord Yronwood's army. Depending on when Arianne arrives and makes her decision this is not unlikely.

the sand snakes are with Myrcella... they started their journey after The Watcher chapter, and are almost upon KL, since in the Epilogue preparations were being planed for Princess Myrcellas arrival.

The High Sparrow rips the flesh from his back to feel closer to the gods, he doesn't give a fuck, he's doing the god's will.

Varys will probably have her found guilty, or Mace will turn to his military strength before a verdict when the trial starts going bad. But I doubt she's going to actually make it to execution, Marge is worth much alive to Varys as a bargaining chip with Willas. He would just have to convince the HS, the Mother shows mercy, spare her her life and avoid more war, trade her back to HG where she can never again corrupt the crown in exchange for the Reach swearing fealty to Aegon.

And by all accounts, what we have been told is that the case is weak, HS knows this, the person admitting to anything is a near corpse. HS knows he can't beat the Tyrells, a specially by killing a beloved queen. Varys may have a hand in it, but HS is leading the case.

Tyene supposedly does not travel with Lady Nym as she is supposed to infiltrate the Great Sept without revealing her identity. This could mean she'll take more or less time. It is hard to say. But one should assume that the High Septon already had his judges ready back in AFfC when he arranged Margaery's trial with Cersei - shortly before he arrested Cersei.

We have no clue where Nym and Myrcella are right now. It does not seem likely that much time passed between the two Cersei chapters and the Epilogue. And the fact that Kevan failed to mention her arrival to the Tyrells may be a hint that he didn't know about that himself for all that long...
