What if the reason none of the prophecies seem to be happening is that Bran is actively changing the future?

I know the show doesn't care much about prophecies, but I could imagine that prophecies being wrong would not turn out to be because they were false or misunderstood, but because we are seeing the impact of Bran actively changing the future as it unfolds. "I live mostly in the past now." could be the first big hint of it?

Likely, yes, unless the build up is dramatically different to the show. And I'll be honest, I don't think GRRM could even save such a shitty concept for an ending. So yeah, if it happens in the books too, then I'll gladly label D&D and GRRM alike hacks.

This show ranks up there with Lost it created so many questions and important characters with hidden things that we all looked forward to the big reveals...… only to forget most of the stuff or just never see the characters again.

The prophecies are not 'working' because either they were not included in the tv show, or only partly included in the show (valonqar) , or the show is just plain ignoring them (azor ahai).
