Khal Pono
I have a ton of respect for him since I heard he will quit acting after the series and pursue his studies in medecine. That IMO deserves some mad propsHe's not studying medicine, I believe he's studying ancient philosophy!

Former Lord of Winterfell
What I love about the portrayal is the beast lurking beneath the "he's really just vulnerable and lonely" exterior. It's so easy to get sucked into "he's not really bad at the core, if only...", but really, that's not the case. This is the kid who tortured animals when young. And you can see the part of him that is more normal come out sometimes, and it's easy to think that's the "real" him. But then you get the manic snarl when Tyrion defies him at the wedding reception, and you just know that kid is all kinds of dark. That boy just ain't right in the head. Brilliant portrayal, though. Lord Tyrion's Whore
I wouldn't really call him a "child actor" as he was 17 when he landed the role, and he's 21 now, but I guess everyone's definition of a child is different. Anyway, he's definitely one of the most enjoyable young actors on the show, probably the most enjoyable young actor, really. I hope he goes far, and doesn't just get typecast after this. Xasthur
I'm really looking forward to this scene in the last episode of this season where he confronts Tywin with how a king should deal with his enemies and that being opportunistic isn't kingly. The only scene in the books where I found Joffrey sympathic and where I didn't want Tywin to order the guards to escort him to his bedroom. Khal-a-bunga
Great interview with Gleeson:http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ShgSRsYY3WMThese are too rare. "My God..." EDIT: http://gifninja.com/animatedgifs/20665/ninja-d.gif
7V3N
He's done a great job. I was really upset to hear that people are actually sending him death threats. Everyone has spoken for what a great kid he is, and the fact that he can act so well should make people appreciate him all the more. But I guess people love Kit Harrington for being Jon Snow, despite his acting being nothing above par (though to his credit, the writing has not allowed him much opportunity) just because the character is likeable.Jack Gleeson deserves some individual awards. BlackTalon
... to hear that people are actually sending him death threats.they do? I have repeatedly read statements from him that he has never been insulted or threatened and that people are very polite to him. Lena Headey and Sophie Turner on the other hand ... :worried:

I hated her worse than Joffrey . .

That was one of the Tywin's classic moves. The baby's tired; would you be a dear and put him to bed?

Lena Headey and Sophie Turner on the other hand ... :worried:Yeah, GRRM had to sort of publicly state that people need to stop, because Jack Gleeson is a truly wonderful guy. Though I have read that he said he doesn't get those, but being the nice guy he is I could totally see him downplaying how mean people are.
