[BOOK SPOILERS] What would you like for the TV show to change?

Yeah, I forgot about some of those scenes, I definitely enjoyed the bottom four that you listed. But with them, there not always added so much as they are filled in. Viserys did try and steal the eggs, we just don't see it because neither he nor jorah is a pov character.

Regarding Sam and Jon's chat about girls, the whole thing struck me as bizarre and rather unbelievable. Jon having strong feelings about fathering a bastard and being a virgin at age 14 makes sense, a 23 year old (or whatever age Jon is in the show) being a virgin because he doesn't want to father a bastard is ridiculous, has no one ever told him about pulling out, or oral sex? And his only opportunity to have sex is at a brothel?

This was probably my least favorite scene in the whole show (along with the hunting scene, apparently the royal hunt is 4 dudes and one spear). Not simply for the bad porn aspect of it, but because it makes no sense, why is LF telling his life story to two random prostitutes? When he betrayed Ned in the books I was genuinely surprised, (although looking back on it, I probably shouldn't have been), my brother was watching the show but hadn't read the books knew as soon the fisting scene occurred that LF would betray Ned, because he just gave a speech on how duplicitous and underhanded he is. The whole struck as fulfilling some nudity quota that HBO had imposed.

Just because you don't like doesn't mean it is unbelievable .

What?! I agree that the whores themselves are kind of over the top (I find it easy to ignore them), but I mean they are whores what else do you expect them to do? :dunno:

But his monologue! Its perfect! A triumph of writing and acting! I think so at least.

Keep the Red Viper alive... I swear his death was more upsetting to me than Ned's...

Yea that one was really upsetting. Especially since they make you think he win's....when Gregor grabbed him I literally dropped my book and looked away, like it was a movie or something lol.

Merge book 4 + 5 and leave out these ship travels, maybe show like 10 seconds of the key scenes happining during those.

The river one, Sams one, Quentins, or just leave Quentin out of it, because he is not really contributing to the story, shorten down the Blue Haired ones traveling... every traveling sequence, just leave them be and fasten the pace of events.

I'd like to see some scene that shows Tywin is getting desperate when he plans the Red Wedding and a scene showing Walder Frey's reaction to the news of Robb's marriage to someone else.

I think it should be ambiguous whether Tyrion kills Tywin by accident or on purpose, fingers trembling on the crossbow trigger perhaps, because otherwise he might lose all sympathy from the audience. I trust Peter Dinklage to pull off the scene, tho'.

Everyone's motivation for completely turning on Tyrion after Joff's death needs to be established too. Especially Cersei's and Tywin's.

I'd like to see Sansa ask where her sister is just once!

But showing Walder Frey's reaction to Robb getting married and Tywin's desperation--was he ever desperate?--in planning the RW spoils what's going to happen. And the Red Wedding needs to occur as a surprise for it to have the emotional impact it does in the book.

About Tyrion and Tywin, I don't think anybody will lose any sympathy for Tyrion if it's not ambiguous. I think almost all of the audience will cheer when Tyrion kills his father; Tywin is not the most sympathetic character.

I'd like for the show to seriously downplay Tyrion's battle prowess in the Blackwater. I found his fighting success in that chapter in ACOK ridiculous in how many enemies he took out. I'm not even sure how much of the battle will make the screen, but Peter Dinklage taking out a bunch of soldiers would look silly on screen, like in the EE of FOTR where Merry and Pippin take out fully armored Uruk Hai by throwing and hitting the orcs with pebbles.

What a stupid thing you have said that is not even worth replying .

Why would he lose sympathy by killing one of the biggest piece of shit in the series . Remember the slapping Joffrey videos , I bet they would make a lot of them with this too .

There shouldn't be any more clues to the Red Wedding than the ones that are in the book, I think. But having Walder Frey react to Robbs marriage as opposed to any other random Freys would work fine. The audience has to know that the Freys are very unhappy about that, and it sets up the reason for Edmure's wedding.

I think perhaps the biggest giveaway in the book is that Tywin after having been very active at trying to contain Robb, suddenly just decides to sit in Kings Landing and lets Robb do whatever he wants. And when Tyrion confronts him about that, he says that things are taken care of (or something to that effect). Given the amount of time the audience of the show has to think about clues between each episode, the show shouldn't be more obvious than that. When you read you tend to just read on to see how things go instead of thinking too much about the clues.

you did though...stupid(?)

So an entire season dealing with the complete stories of supporting characters like Cersei, Brienne and a bunch of ironborn, followed by a timewarp back at the beginning of season 5 to tell the stories of the main characters like Dany, Jon or Tyrion will be totally awesome?

Just saying, it is common for TV-Series to tell stories in chronological order, without flashbacks, monologues or time shifts.

I actually agree with the whole merging book 4 and 5 thing but to say that they should get rid of Quentyn, which I am sure will be important to whether Dorne will support Dany anymore now that he is dead and shorten the Aegon storyline which was already short is ridiculous .

They cannot get rid of Quentyn, as he is the sun that rises in the east and sets in the west.

Though, I agree with AverageCheese that it is kind of unnecessary to talk about that because in only happens in book 5.

If they will film ASOS, I really hope they leave out the Lord's kiss. This is one thing best left in the book as it is. Just show them making love beneath the furs. Or even in the cave, but without the Lord's kiss.

Having a character named quentyn who dies and sets dragons free doesn't mean that character needs a travelogue. But that's way ahead of things, we have no idea if the show will even get a 3d season, let alone a 5th.

What the hell, the show is pretty popular so yes I assume we will get there especially if shitty shows like True Blood can .
