Arthur Lannister
What do you think will happen if Sansa married Lancel instead of Tyrion? In this scenario, Tyrion will wed a frey girl and Kevan agreed to this marriage.
Trigger Warning
Lancel would join the Warrior's Sons and leave her. In which case she'd still remain a hostage in the Red Keep. Tyrion would still be accused of killing Joffrey and head off into Essos.
TalalOfDorne
IIRC, Sansa preferred Tyrion over Lancel, so she probably would have been even more miserable with him than with Tyrion.

We all know Lancel is more dutifulWell he didn't sleep with Gatehouse and he ran off to join the Sparrows and left his wife. His actions are anything but dutiful. He seems like a rare Lannister who has a conscious.

Sansa_Stark
Its hilarious. Even at the end of Storm Sansa still would have preferred Tyrion over SR. I can't help but feel there was some sort of gratefulness from Sansa to Tyrion.
Queen Alienor
I think it would have been extremly awkward for both of them. But I agree, I'm not sure if Lancel would have stopped like Tyrion did...

Lancel would care about her feelings? Just like he cared about her feelings when he told her that Robb was a demonic cannibal? And Tyrion didn't care about her feelings? Sansa_Stark
Little bit off topic. But how did Lancel get like that? He basically got Theon'd off a wound?

Sansa_Stark
Near death experiences have frequently made people religions in real life. Its not the religious experience. Its the part where he looks decades older that I don't understand.
rystine
I know that. But just getting injured in battle did that to him?I simply assumed his wound got badly infected. It's not unheard of for a minor wound to get infected and significantly slow a persons recovery.

Besides, he was physically weak and actually looked ghastly by the time of Tywin's funeral. He only began his descent into madness, not completed. It wasn't until Jaime confronted him in aFfC that he was well and truly headed that way. He was willing enough to marry Gatehouse Ami before then.
