Volverin
I think he is perfect for both actually. We should have two Christophers. :D Watched him for 10 years as Teal'c on Stargate and he could play both characters successfully.

Metopheles
Gyasi is cool and has a great voice ( just look for Cloud Atlas, Adam Ewing segment. )But he is too young and too friendly looking.I say Isaach.

conwaysuccess
Djimon Hounsou Lance Reddick Lester Freamon Isaach De Bankole Dorian Harewood Anthony Ray Parker Danny Sapani Peter Mensah Adewele Akinnuoye-Agbaje Hakeem Kae-Kazim Isaac Hayes Idris Elba David Gyasi WOW You nailed the casting choices! I was thinking of these ones you already mentioned but most especially my top three are, *Isaach De Bankole *Danny Sapani *Hakeem Kae-Kazim Peter Mensah Djimon Hounsou Lance Reddick Idris Elba Adewele Akinnuoye-Agbaje But maybe I would add these guys to the possible casting list Edi Gathegi Morgan Freeman (too Famous probably) but he never disappoints Jeffrey Wright C. C. H. Pounder (I know she's a woman but I think she could NAIL this part)
dielsis
If I had to choose between Isaach or Adewale, it would be very difficult! He may just be a comic actor, and he's American, but for some reason when I read Moqorro I saw the actor who played Grizz on 30 Rock. (His name is Grizzwald for real.) For reference, him with Dinklage: http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/grizz-chapman-peter-dinklage.jpg Not necessarily the voice or the aura, but definitely the look, even if his skin is lighter than the description of Moqorro's. Deadwood
I envisaged Moqorro as lithe and gaunt, not fat.I do not recall his actual description from the books.
Sword of the Morgan
I think the portrayal is more important than the appearance.
Deadwood
That goes without saying for me, but out of competent actors, I'd go for one that resembled my thoughts/book look over someone who didn't.The physicality of something is a large part of the performance. Daemon I Blackfyre
It's probably too early to start wondering about this, but who would you like to play Moqorro? Ever since he showed up in Dance, I've found him utterly fascinating. I admit, I know very few actors, but I cannot unsee Dorian Harewood as Moqorro. Every time Moqorro talks, I hear Harewood in the back of my head, especially when he lent his voice as Senator N'mani for Metal Gear Rising. And now I can't stop picturing Moqorro in a tuxedo, lol. Metopheles
Just hypothetical, what if they cast a white male, or female and make their skin even more white with makeup, giving a whole new flair to the character...how would you react on that? Not that it would be the first change of an iconic character's appearance.

bent branch
I feel most of the actors mentioned in this thread are far too young. One of my greatest impressions of Moqorro is that he looks old and despite that he gives off a feeling of being even older than he looks.
