Dany the Conqueror: Essos

Possible, sure.

It would be a bit anti-climactic, especially in view of the acknowledged Dance II we have coming. But I suppose if Aegon does his thing, there is a chance she remembers all the times she's wished she weren't the last dragon, and instead unites with him for a pandemic of Targaryanism.

I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

Honestly, I'm not as anxious for her to get to Westeros as everyone else seems to be (I actually quite enjoyed the Meereen storyline in ADWD).

Westeros is not her home and the common folk won't likely be pleased with Drogon burning their hovels to ashes. Also, who in Westeros would follow someone who owns a slave army and leads a Dothraki khalasar? She's going to be in for quite the culture shock. If she successfully conquers Westeros, she will be thouroughly hated just as she was by the Meereenese.

I have a feeling that Dany will only have one title by the time the series is finished: "Queen of the Red Door."

She may come to this conclusion herself before ever setting foot in Westeros.

I have enjoyed the Slaver's Bay staff too, but it mainly seemed as a prelude for the similar situation which have to happen in Westeros: I think Daenerys will arrive with good wills and strong moral standards, but with close to zero knowledge about local culture, customs, politics or about practically anything. The only thing she knew about Slaver's Bay was the slave trade and the horrible training of the unsullied. The only thing she knows about Westeros is Targaryen dynastic history, and that his family was brutally massacred and destroyed. We as book readers know a hundred times more about Westeros than Dany, she even did not remember Dorne's sigil...

The question for me has always been: when she lands in Westeros will she stay? She may have become attached to Essos and all its troubles. I think she's this generation's Nymeria.

The more i read DwD the more i think this is the case.

She constantly goes on about not leaving her people and stopping the slavery, i can't envision a situation where either:

A - everythings fine, she finds rulers for all the cities who agree to look after the freedmen and not resume slaving.

B -Dany decides she cant stop slavery, leaves them too it and jumps on some ships to westoros.

When we leave her in DwD she's with Khal Jhaqo, hopefully, she roasts him alive and steals his khalasar, jumps on drogons back and leads the khlasar back to Vaes dothrak where she draws the other khlasars to her. Then proceeds to unite essos under her rule. I also think she has to go to asshai to get some important dragon info - "and to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow."

Except GRRM said she would eventually come to Westeros as LordStoneheart said. Also, what about the second Dance of Dragons GRRM said and has been hinted at?

What is the point of Dany's storyline if it isn't going to impact the Westeros storyline?
