  1. Ask some of the regulars if they'll be place holders. That's how you dragged me into this last year. Also, context: And now I have to be in the ceremony and family photos, which means wearing a suit outside for an hour and a half during a fucking heat wave. Great. Anyways, Okay, so my entire team is trash by this metric except for Patterson, correct?
  2. Money league, 10 man snake (9th pick), standard 2 flex spots with one allowing a QB, 18 man roster: QB - Herbert, Lance (Fields, Baker, Hill) WR - Allen, Sutton, Thielen (Juedy, MVS) RB - Cook, Chubb (CEH, Singletary, J. Cook) TE - Hockenson (Hill, again) K - Bass D - Rams
  3. I've chosen violence after an excellent draft in my money league tonight, fueled more by booze and Nadal!!!!!!!!!!!! And maybe some gummies on top.
  4. Answer me! Also, I think we can all agree, take Ruggs off that team, no penalty. ETA: Lol, I got Herbert for a third of what Tua cost. That's fucking amazing two years later.
  5. I kept Jeudy. And why do I have to pay for AB when he's basically forced into retirement? Same goes for Murray? They're not signed and won't be.
  6. Fuck off Cam Smith. You can't take the junior tour's blood money then immediately complain that those tournaments don't count towards rankings.
  7. Keeping: QB - Herbert, $5, 2 years WR - WR JJ, $5, 2 years WR - Jeudy, $7, 1 year WR - M. Thomas, $6, 2 years Dropped players: None, team is mostly expiring deals Old penalties: QB - Wentz, $13, 1 year RB - Barber, $3, 1 year Not sure how this works: WR - AB, $8, 1 year RB - Murray, $3, 1 year So only $28 against the cap before figuring out how the last two impact it. Also, I cannot draft from the 9th to 11th. I also have a draft this Thursday. Can make most other days work assuming something doesn't come up.
  8. We need your Mac Jones and coaching decision hot takes!
  9. I don't claim to know anything about F1's finances, but generally speaking in sports the cost to expand and create a new team far exceeds whatever revenue is lost in the short term by a reduction in the TV shares. The buy in money is split among the existing teams and given there's only ten, that should fetch quite a large sum. And with more teams means more sponsorship money and potentially will help when they do their next TV deal.
  10. I died laughing at this in the office this morning:
  11. I literally posted this two spots up. Bad horsey. And it's become he has a kid named X Æ A-Xii Musk.
  12. Since both Dynasty and Keeper tend to draft late, I am zero dark thirty 9/9-9/11. Those dates are impossible for me. Will be attending one of the most insane Bat Mitzvahs I expect to ever see in San Fran.
  13. I still can't believe I didn't win this league last year. Only one other player scored more than 1,800 points and they just barely cracked it. I scored almost 2,250 points. Fucking bullshit...
  14. Feel free to recruit offsite friends too if you want. Also, as of right now I have the league set both for confidence points and picking against the spread. The latter is new and I'm curious if there's any interest in trying it this year? We have insanely high win rates and I wonder what it would look like doing it this way now that gambling is legal all over the place. I can change it back to just confidence points (or just the spread) if people would like. Please let me know your thoughts over the next few weeks before the season starts.
  15. Decadence is the key word here which I would have used myself. This setting, Imo, is no different from the height of the Roman Empire during a period of extended peace. The bloodlust in the crowd was quite clear. Appreciate the insight!
  16. The first tourney we saw in GoT was rather violent as well, only the king was there to shut it down. Not the case this time around and thus no one had the clout to stop the affair. I quite liked the scene and the contrast to childbirth tbh.
  17. Idk, for me none of the characters were super likeable from the jump. Jon, Bran and Arya were the hook initially, not surprising they survived all the way through. Rhaenyra and Daemon were pretty fun introductions and can easily carry the early part of the series.
