WSmith84 Posted June 23, 2015 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Assuming Stannis still finds out about the incest, he may have been more willing to come forward to Robert, as it doesn't look nearly as self-serving since it makes Renly heir and not him. If not, he'd support Renly in the war. The North and Riverlands probably would have joined Renly as well, as in this case Renly has the better claim and the bigger army. He rebelled against the rightful king in Robert's Rebellion. Stannis will do whatever he believes is best for himself. If that's doing his duty, then that's he will do. As the older brother it would be Renly's by right and Stannis would have zero problem with that. Because he held it for so long. But I agree he'd be less shitty.
