  2. Jones answered an Endlords question in her Patreon site last week: https://www.patreon.com/posts/in-forge-on-edge-98429349 Have you come close to finishing the writing of this book yet? Absolutely. It will be finished this year
  3. Yes, this is the first American trade paperback edition.
  4. A new trade paperback edition of The Lies of Locke Lamora will be published by Del Rey in August. https://www.amazon.com/Lies-Locke-Lamora-Gentleman-Bastards/dp/0593725425/ This U.S. edition has a brand new cover art. "Key selling points" from the Edelweiss catalog: A BELOVED CLASSIC—NOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TRADE PAPERBACK: The Lies of Locke Lamora mass market edition was originally published in June 2006. The trade paperback will be published in Summer 2024 with a beautiful new cover. TROPES: Oceans Eleven x Fantasy; Heists; Found Family of Criminals; Sweet Revenge OVER HALF A MILLION COPIES SOLD APPEARS ON MULTIPLE TOP-TEN LISTS FOR THE BEST HEIST NOVEL EVER, alongside mainstream novels. MASS MARKET POWERHOUSE IN ITS 38TH PRINTING—a book that just continues to sell and sell. SCOTT LYNCH'S DEBUT SERIES IS “Remarkable . . . Scott Lynch’s first novel, The Lies of Locke Lamora, exports the suspense and wit of a cleverly constructed crime caper into an exotic realm of fantasy, and the result is engagingly entertaining.”—The Times (London)
  5. Brandon Sanderson update (from the UK publisher Gollancz):
  6. Brandon Sanderson update: Leigh Bardugo update: Sarah J. Maas update: R. A. Salvatore update from the Edelweiss catalogue:
  7. The second book in the series Iron Flame is also selling well. https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/bookselling/article/93846-suzanne-collins-rebecca-yarros-drove-print-book-sales-up-over-thanksgiving.html These are US numbers:
  8. There is no mention about Martin's overall sales in the Edelweiss entry.
  9. Interesting information from the Edelweiss catalog entry for The Official Game of Thrones Cookbook:
  10. GRRM said in an interview in October last year: All in all, Martin thinks he’s “about 3/4 of the way done.” He’s done writing the full stories for some of the point-of-view characters, “but not others… It’s still gonna take me a while.”
  11. I don't think it is that hard. I just haven't read anything GoT related since autumn 2014. I'm not on social media - maybe that makes it easier.
  12. I have never been angry because of the long wait to TWoW. Dissapointed, yes, but not angry. ASoIaF is my favourite ongoing fantasy book series. I haven't watched Game of Thrones after season four, so I don't know anything about the show's ending to the story.
  13. Media tie-in edition of Robert Jordan's The Great Hunt will be released in July. Here is the cover art: https://edel-images.azureedge.net/ea/MM/images/jacket_covers/original/9781250898371_e4f50.jpg
  14. RJ Barker (from Edelweiss catalog) Michael J. Sullivan update
  15. Two updates from Edelweiss catalog: N.K. Jemisin Ben Aaronovitch
  16. Iain M. Banks update from Edelweiss: Garth Nix update
  17. Peter V. Brett update from Edelweiss catalog:
  18. That is not true. The Eye of the World was #13 on the NYT mass market paperback list in January 2022. https://www.nytimes.com/books/best-sellers/2022/01/01/mass-market-monthly/
  19. From Edelweiss catalog: BESTSELLING MOMENTUM: With the release of season one of The Wheel of Time streaming series, the first book in the series, The Eye of the World, was a #1 New York Times bestseller in audio, and hit the list in MM. The boxed sets of books 1-3 were also on the USA Today bestseller list.
  20. It looks like Robert Jordan is more popular than GRRM. From Edelweiss catalog: https://i.ibb.co/cFbmRdR/wot.jpg Also: EXPLOSIVE SALES POTENTIAL: The Wheel of Time series sold 2.5M copies in 2021, with the release of season 1 in November-December, and followed that up with 2.3M copies sold in 2022 despite a 2-year gap between seasons 1 and 2. This number compares very favorably to sales of the Witcher in a similar time period (about 15-30% higher), and we expect to see renewed sales for season 2 in 2023.
