1. Nothing. Just my impression that you don’t (usually) want to release a really unfinished product or part of a product to the world…
2. It that’s all he’s written it would be odd to release it. It’s likely to change in big ways during editing and revision.
3. Hold on. The prologue can’t be left overs from the other books. We have those prologues already. I’d much rather have the book… but… this isn’t a bad sign… is it?
4. This is a link to the current fundraising total: https://fundraise.worldbuilders.org/fundraiser/3614242
5. So, I saw this this morning. It’s the first time in a Decade he’s been willing to release information or portions of the third book. Is this him giving up and throwing what he’s got at the world, or, is this a sign he’s getting close and might actually have a book close to finished?
6. It also seems to me that they barely adapted half of the first novel. Doesn’t Foundation end with a member of the Foundation discovering how far behind the Foundation the remnants of the Empire have fallen.
7. I agree the events on Trantor and surrounding the Genetic Dynasty are much more cohesive. They show how good the Empire is at maintaining stasis in the core areas. The irony is that is the wholely new and independent storyline from the novel. The stuff on Terminus, based on the novel, is all over the place.
8. Things actually happened in this episode. Not sure what the heck happened at the end though.
9. Invest… in more books. That’s what I do. (Bookshelves too)
10. All I can figure is that they wanted something they could recover from the wreckage of the imperial jumpship.
11. Are we supposed to be incredibly confused by what’s going on? Because… I’m just confused.
12. It was less plodding than the last two episodes but it still seems to be struggling to get… somewhere.
13. From “The Nature of Middle Earth: Beards, second footnote pg 188”
14. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought those were the folks on the ships.
15. Did it seem odd to anyone else that the Ancreons were flying interstellar spacecraft but their weapons were bows?
16. Hardly, there may be shortcuts we aren’t seeing.
17. As currently conceived “Warp Drive” would need a significant portion of the lifetime output of a star’s energy to work for a short time. That means we need to be close to a “Class 2” civilization to make one “Warp Drive” work. We’ve got a very long way to go.
18. I enjoyed both seasons but hope they get back to more realistic space travel in Season 3.
19. I was in the Lurker’s guide all the time while watching B5. It helped as the show kept getting switched to different times and different stations due to syndication.
