Annara Snow
God this hilarious, it isn't plot contrievence that Jon can be killed and come back alive with likely no negative consquences because the plot has been set up that way. This is not a case of a character getting killed one season in a TV show, or in a movie, or in a separate book that's not a part of a pre-planned book series, and then getting brought back in some contrived way because the executives decided he's too popular to stay dead and they want him in the sequels. GRRM planned it and set up ways Jon could be brought back in the same book where he had him stabbed. If GRRM were doing that because he's eager to keep Jon alive, all he had to do was not have him stabbed in the first place. Therefore the complaining about "plot contrivance" is ridiculous. Lost Melnibonean
Yes, Robb's intention was to disinherit Sansa and legitimize Jon as the natural son of Eddard Stark. The legal force of such a proclamation, though will depend on the wording. For example, if it begins with something like, "My trueborn brothers having been murdered...," the maesters will look for precedents where such proclamations were defeated by a mistake of fact. And adverse claimants will argue that Robb was not a king but an attainted traitor. House Manderly is going to push Rickon. LF is going to push Sansa. Jon is um occupied. Bran is becoming a tree. The situation is very much in doubt.
