Do you view Daenerys as a dishonorable character?

That's silly. She is not a slaver. She benefitted from slaves and the society that produces them, yes. But then when the practice was shoved in her face and she was forced to examine it actively, she denounces it. That's pretty straightforward.

It's not hypocrisy if you have changed your mind over time. It would only be hypocrisy if she sat in judgment of someone who had similarly changed their views, or if she was selling and buying slaves on the down low whilst executing slavers for practicing slavery.

I knew this was where you were going and there is nothing in that passage to indicate that his "friend" was forced to do anything. Not to mention the fact that this is story is coming from Xaro who clearly has an agenda which is to re-legalize slavery.

If it is not forced labor why does man needs to be sold to leave? Why not just stop digging and ask Xaro for a lift.

She killed teens in Astapor younger then her.

Because Xaro is a selfish piece of shit, he's not going to just help the guy for nothing.

The guy was clearly free, he could have left anytime he wanted, hence not a slave. He just had no means to do so after the sack.

So children who do evil deeds shouldn't be judged?

Joffrey says hi.

Joffrey was horrible but he should have sent to the wall for his crimes after a court judging. Blind murder is not justice a specially if it is not war.

And for the "but they weren't given the chance to stop slaving", Yunkai WAS given that chance, and what did they do as soon as Daenerys left?

Every adult in Yunkai should be arrested and executed but not their kids.

Joffrey was guilty of crimes in his own right, not of being born into the wrong society. Comparison doesn't hold.

I find it unlikely the average Astapori teenager didn't commit much more heinous acts on a daily basis than Joffrey. Joffrey was tame compared to that society.
