rs1n
Far too often I would see a post in reply to someone else's post, but all that is shown is a quote of the previous poster's words, and nothing new added by the person doing the quoting. Is there something wrong with my settings?(New to the boards)
LordImp
I have the same problem.
Xray the Enforcer
Can you take some screenshots? Also, what OS and browser are you using?
Le Cygne
That's the corrupt database issue most likely. Anything from around mid-July and earlier is like that.

rs1n
That's the corrupt database issue most likely. Anything from around mid-July and earlier is like that.Ah, ok. I presume then that's there is nothing that can be done?
rs1n
Actually, page 2 of this thread (lots of recent posts) seems to have a lot of quoted posts with no other content http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/topic/135769-what-howland-reed-knows/&do=findComment&comment=7358604Two of CurledFinger's posts just below the one linked are also nothing but quotes. Le Cygne
Sometimes people have trouble using the forum. The issue with the corrupted database is consistent (the mid-July and earlier posts), it's always that way, after the first quote block the rest of the post is dropped. They are working on fixing that.
Linda
Correct, this is the result of the database corruption. We're hoping to get a properly converted database, but it is taking ages to finish.
Ice Turtle
Same problem, I hope it will get fixed, eventually, because it makes old threads almost unreadable.
Linda
We hope so too, but we're dependent on support managing to complete a full conversion of the old database without any of the data loss. They seem to think its working so far, but its very slow to complete.
Dela81
Uh, ran into that problem too, didnt use the Forum for some Weeks and now everything changed. ^^If im honest, i liked the old design more. The new one seems cold and ..."technical" ...dunno. But thats no Problem,im fine with the new design too.Good to know the "Quote-Issue" is being worked on and will be fixed sometime. As i, and i think many people, mainlyuse this Forum as a reference for things wich interest me acutally, not for the daily posts and ongoingdiscussions, this situation really hampers its usefullness.Dela
