Anthony Appleyard
This Google search for maps of Essos shows contradictory ideas about what happens at the east end of Essos, particularly about the size and shape of the Jade Sea. Which is official? This Wikimedia map shows much more of Planetos and a new far-western continent, but is it official? This map is described as official, but is it official? ShimShim
Im not sure about the one described as official. For now, for my official maps, ill just stick with the one from Lands of Ice and Fire,
Loge
This version shows all of the known world. I don't think any of the maps showing more are official. There was a time when the books didn't have maps of Essos except for the Free Cities. People made up their own maps then, too.
Syl of Syl
I don't think that there are any "official" maps. The ones from Lands of Ice and Fire were adapted from ones that were drawn by GRRM himself. But even those have at least one mistake that I know of (in the Kingdom of Sarnor). The wikimedia map definitely doesn't match up with the Lands one. The last link might match, but it shows additional stuff that as far as I know, GRRM has never drawn up, so that must be extrapolation on the part of the artist. McGuv19
The wikimedia map probably isn’t official since Sothoryos is spelt Sothorios.
