Could Lord hornwood have been secretly murdered by Bolton during the battle of the forks

Recommended Posts

Could Lord hornwood have been secretly murdered by Roose Bolton's  during the battle of the forks and blamed on the Lannister leaving hornwood with not legal heir except for Beren Tallhart a son from the previous lord hornwood sister or a bastard son from the previous lord hornwood?

Daryn hornwood, heir to the hornwood lands, died in the whispering woods after the battle of the green fork. Roose bolton leads from the rear, so if he murdered Halys hornwood directly, it would be hard to hide. perhaps in the heat of battle one of roose's men did him in, but a house head would likely have his own men around him who would have seen the treachery, so probably no, he did not

Did he personally order Halys Hornwood killed? Probably not.

Did he put Halys Hornwood’s units in the front of the battle in the hope that they’d be killed and Halys with them? Not a doubt in my mind.

Probably. We know that Roose is a cold and cunning opportunist.
