Larry.
Might be a few weeks or even months before I read the Grossman book, to be honest. Hard to say, considering the school year is starting back in a few weeks and I haven't been as inclined to read the past month. Corrected it just now, Wert - thanks for pointing it out. Larry.
True. I'll get something better around Christmas time. My contract will be up then and I might switch to AT&T from Verizon...or I might not. But the Iphone is tempting...

Larry.
Well Hammer, many are for just-released or soon-to-be-released books that I get for review purposes. I don't have the time/energy to read/review them all (some weeks, I get almost 20 books, for example), so I photograph them and post them on my blog to acknowledge them, in case any get curious. That being said, this week's book porn is a mixture of purchases, review copies, and ARCs. It also includes at least one classic and likely four, with the others not being all that shabby as well.

Larry.
Thanks, although my sister's Porkie/Yoodle (whatever you call that designer mix of a Yorkie and a Poodle) has seemed to have forgotten that the newspaper is for its needs, not the floor surrounding it :( I am wondering if it's intentional and therefore the dog is evil... Ser Warpechowski
How many of these books do you read?
Larry.
Roughly 50% of them within the first two months of receiving them; most of the rest are unsolicited review copies that I eventually will give away to others.
Calibandar
I like the quality feel and look of the Orbit books. Even the cheap mass market books feel like a trade paperback in smaller size. I'm quite interested in the new series by Brent Weeks, but reviews have been very scarce ( that is to say, I've not found a single one), which is strange considering book 1 is released in a month. Either few people got an arc, or all of those who did put it way down their review pile.
Larry.
I do agree with the statement on the quality of the book manufacturing. As for me reviewing the Weeks anytime soon, I haven't had the time to write a full review since June, although I hope to complete some this holiday weekend.
