a free shadow
1. Character/Object2. Object3. Not wearable4. Not seen in the 5 books5. Not a weapon6. In it's essence it is from the timeline of the books and you don't need to look elsewhere7. It is not one of a kind8. Not involved in legends/stories/myths9. It does not fit into a shoe boxA male POV, not Jon Snow, Areo Hotah, Barristan Selmy, Tyrion Lannister or Bran StarkHINT: The answer is multiply objects10. The POV is not of an epilogue/a prologue11. The objects are essentially not movable (not movable without damage)12. Not in Westeros SotN13. In one of the free cities, I suppose14. In Braavos, I suppose15. Does not have a religious connection16. Not Quentyn's POV
Castellan
Thinking out loud not asking questions. The objects aren't in Westeros and isn't seen on page yet a male POV recalls them - or can he just know about it without ever having seen it? I was thinking it had to be someone who'd traveled out of Westeros but not so if he just mentions them from general knowledge or has read about them.A Free Shadow seems to think they'd be in certain cities named by contestent without them having been explicitly mentioned. They are damaged if moved which makes me think they are infrastructure like buildings, wharves, roads, large statues...what are other 'damaged if moved' items? What male POVs are left? Apparently the objects are not so common that more than one POV thinks/knows/recalls them. Although I guess he'd have to be thinking about places out of Westeros if he did and they don't all do that. yolkboy
What male POVs are left? The only male povs that have been to essos are sam and jon con. That's not to say the pov might not have even been to essos.I'm thinking Sam, Braavos, but the "Braavos i suppose" answer is troubling me.

a free shadow
Apparently the objects are not so common that more than one POV thinks/knows/recalls them. There are tons of swords in ASoIaF and all the POVs have seen some, but it does not mean that one particular sword (even if unremarkable otherwise) was seen (talked about/thought of) by more than one POV.Just an example. This time I caught it early though.I did not think The Wall as "The Wall".I am still not hungry (when I don't sleep for too long, I talk and this is no hint).
