Didn't know the books existed until the show though, so there's that. It's also not bad at all, it's just nowhere near the books in quality. I was a slow watcher and didn't finish the show until like a week before season 3 started. I honestly didn't plan on reading the books since I was already looking up spoilers on the internet (lol), but after S3 finished airing I was like "Why not?".
