Whos calvary is charging at Jon?

Are they Baratheon soldiers?...

Both the Boltons and Baratheons have quite similar helmets.

The Vale knights' helmets look rather flat on the front, at least in comparison to those in the promotional photo.

Probably just wishful thinking on my part. :dunno:

EDIT: It looks as if they have the Bolton sigil on their helmets.

Spoiler

That one picture with Jon standing by himself in front of the Bolton forces Calvary charge, lets me know he standing over Rickons dead body :(. Damn you D&D, you guys really suck ass!!! :angry2:

So Lord SmallJon and Karstark are there for the battle, but weirdly no Lord Manderly?.

Is it to early to say Lord Manderly "Remembers" the oath his ancestor made to always be Stark men????

One of the banners look like the tully sigil.

Could it be that Jamie allows the armies that surrendered in the river run siege allowed the tully army to go and fight for the starks.

EDIT:

never mind it looks like house arryn and it's falcon sigil and makes more sense

Where do you see the Arryn banners?? All I see is the loyal Starks Army.

And yeah I do believe the Vale Knights will come and steal the show <_<. You think with all the bad sh*t that has happen to House Stark D&D would've allow them to take this small victory by overcoming the odds and standing tall. But NOOOOO, having LF save the day is such a D&D move. After this and the DIrewolves I'm not going to expect anything more from D&D, they just suck.

Not if there are Stark cavalry right behind Jon. He is still in the middle of the clash.

too many photos released by hbo before the episodes don't make it in the show or it will be something else, it's only for the hype  (it's the moment when the knights of the Vale appear from the right of the scene saving Jon from being crushed ????? :D)

It looks similar to the falcon in this image

It's only the bottom of the flag that the sigil is on. The upper is white. Also I do realise that there are other versions of the sigil. Just found this similar.

So the battle seems to go like this (based on these pics and previous leaks):

Spoiler

- Ramsay sends Rickon to Jon, kills him with an arrow, then heavy Bolton cavalry charges Jon and Stark cavalry comes to his rescue

- Cavalry clash

- Archers fire

- Jon/Wildlings attack uphill, infantry clash, Bolton archers fire into both ranks. WunWun just stamps around without a weapon/tree (?)

- Stark army is losing, pile of bodies is formed (men have to climb on it to reach Boltons, die, and add to its size)

- Stark army gets surrounded by orcs from Mordor Bolton shieldwall

- Only a few dozen men + AragornJon remain and climb the pile of bodies, situation seems hopeless

- Gandalf Littlefinger arrives, cavalry charge from the Vale, midway we'll cut to black to the end of the battle

- Meeting between LF and Jon in Winterfell

I hope I am wrong. I mean, the visuals are gonna be nice, but this seems like one of the least exciting ways to handle this battle. The Vale riding in last-minute is such a cliché at this point and kills the tension.

Nah this photo is before the armies even clash.

Quote

In the picture with Tormund battle cry there is a banner that can be seen above his right shoulder(top left).  I'm curious as to who this banner could possibly belong too.  It appears to be white with blue and gold.  Was wondering if anyone might have any thoughts as to which house it may belong to.

not sure why this came up as a quote when I had hit the reply to this discussion button
