Reboot Bug Now Infecting Television Shows

I'm hard pressed to think of many reboots/remakes that *have* worked.... the Fugitive, for sure...after Tim Burton's failure, the new Planet of the Apes franchise is a hit... Dredd was terrific... but overall, the batting average is terrible... it makes one wonder what drives any studio to keep throwing money at these doomed to fail projects...

 They control  the rights to these properties  and don't have to pay out any royalties so, it's cheaper form them to keep pushing out the reboots, Also given the high cost and financial risk of producing movies , make electives reluctant to take chance with anything new.
