  1. Lol, a quick Google search shows the majority of articles calling for restraint are on the Israeli side after the attack. I only found one saying Iran showed restraint. The rest discussing the Iranian side were about what they should do before they attacked. I haven't heard anyone on NBC or CNN say they showed restraint, just that it was failed from the jump.
  2. They didn't show restraint, they're just not anywhere near as strong as they'd like people to think. Iran embarrassed themselves.
  3. You made more spelling and grammatical errors than Iran landed bombs. They attacked Israel because their stated goal is to always do so until it's destroyed. This isn't hard to understand. What's weird is when people wonder why they're confrontational with a state that wants them all to die. All of this could be solved tomorrow. Release the hostages and work out a lasting ceasefire, except that's not actually the goal on one side and increasingly doesn't look like it is on the other. But don't give me the BS that Iran didn't play a role in what sparked this.
  4. Seems like the worst result possible for the Wolves. Awesome...
  5. I'm not sure what to make of this, but to your original comment, Iran absolutely tried to attack Israel and do significant damage. Their failure to achieve their mission doesn't absolve them of the fact they did it and gives Israel the right to respond which shows just how stupid it was in the first place.
  6. I guess attempted murder is no longer a crime then?
  7. Your mom better watch out or else the old lady might gum her.
  8. That movie was such a disappointment. I still liked it, or at least parts of it, but I was expecting something great. Spaney has been in a few other movies I've seen, but they may have been smaller roles cause I don't remember her at all in them. Looks like she's one of the leads in a new Alien film, which btw I've heard nothing about.
  9. Honestly I'm just happy we got him to eat. He had a slider and some fries from White Castle and later I got him to eat some of the steak I made. It's not like a diet matters anymore. He can eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all I care.
  10. Iran wants a proxy so it can have plausible deniability, but there's little doubt they had some influence at the very least in the attack. To what degree will probably never be known.
  11. I'd almost be disappointed if they weren't trying to at the very least. Every developed country likely has the ability to do so in secret if they wanted to and there are plenty of developing countries that would have an interest in trying as well. Libya serves as an example. Again, I wouldn't assume they haven't started. It's very possible they felt no need to rush it in the past, but a very unstable Russia and US could inspire them to move forward. Japan is actually the country I find least likely of the bunch to do it. The combination of their historical horrors, cultural norms, political and legal systems just doesn't make all that much sense for them to do it. But to your last point, I wouldn't doubt every country that theoretically had the capability hasn't at least considered it regardless of whatever international treaties and resolutions they've signed.
  12. I wouldn't gamble on the Iranian government being overthrown. At least not anytime soon. The younger generations will probably moderate it a bit, but only by a nudge and that's probably the best anyone can hope for.
  13. I really don't recall the series (so I'm going to check it out), but the two movies are amazing cheese horror comedies.
  14. What's lazy is not recognizing each groups' history and stated goals. Hamas and Iran have said they want to destroy Israel for decades. The latter has said come fuck around and find out.
  15. Iran played a significant role in the October 7th attacks. That's the escalation.
  16. My step-father returned home from being in the hospital for around two weeks if my math is right. He looks terrible. Home hospice is almost always the end. At least he seems happy to be here. We had an uncomfortable conversation about the stuff he thought I might want and what/how I should get things to my step-brother. These have not been fun times.
  17. Eh, we all fuck up now and then. Best just to laugh at it. Makes you a better person. I just view it all as a game of chance. Some things have very high probabilities, so it's like rolling a six sided dice. Others are like rolling ten 100 sided dice and they all come up the same. It can happen, but I wouldn't lose sleep over the latter. Israel to the best of my knowledge still has never confirmed they have nukes, even though everyone knows that they do. Governments in general do their best to hide information. Would it shock you if in the morning you read that Australia had them? Or how about Canada? Looking at the list of G20 countries I guess South Africa and Japan would surprise me the most. Mexico too. Everyone else, fuck if I know.
  18. DPRK is a failed state. That they have nukes really doesn't matter in terms of attacking the US outright and if they tried anything in the region the country would be destroyed rather quickly.
  19. Pretty sure you read that stat incorrectly, but yes, it's a bigger daily concern than nuclear war. They're deterrents for states that don't want to be attacked. Irrational actors, especially stateless ones, could give a fig about all that.
  20. WW3 will probably never be in play, at least as things stand now. I'd bet the more likely scenario is numerous small wars occurring all over the world with displacement being a giant problem no state really has any interest in dealing with. The US, EU and China really don't have much appetite for being dragged into something that goes beyond supplying and if those actors don't join the dance it will probably be mostly things on the scale of Israel-Palestine and Russia-Ukraine. I guess the one thing that is most likely to change things and make shit serious is China acting on Tawain and Hong Kong, but I have no earthly idea how that nightmare will play out. He needs them to get reelected. After that, who knows wtf he'll do if he's successful. I also wouldn't say he understands transactions. Merely that he wants to be a part of them and look good in the process. When they work, he claims all the credit despite doing little to no work. And when they don't he fires people while putting the blame entirely on them.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if more developed nations have them than we think. The greater fear is the rogue actor with a dirty bomb who doesn't care about the preservation of a state.
  22. It would have been on behalf of the lizard people if they supported him. Trump doesn't give two shits about religion. Reaganism didn't die with him. MAGA is here for good, thankfully the salesmen and women who aren't him just don't seem to be able to capture the same flame.
  23. Tough, rough and burly. Only if it's in a hateful fashion. A bit of playful elbowing is actually a sign of affection.
  24. Isn't the situation still tied up in the courts? IIRC the ballot measure passed and then DeSantis and his crew of flunkies sorta ignored it while challenging it in court. That said, isn't your average Floridian a felon regardless if they've ever been caught? We all know @DMC is like Mario dodging Donkey Kong's barrels to avoid being flagged. Tampa can do that to the most innocent person.
  25. The combination of being Jerry and Cyril from Archer is too funny (I really need to catch up on both). Dude has made a lot of money playing the sad underdog. I think I first saw him in Anchorman. His IMDB is pretty interesting though. Never a leading man, but is solid in a lot of good to great projects. Respect. I've never played the games, but I liked the first episode. I didn't know they were dropping the whole season at once. After finishing a few other things I can see myself binging this one.
