  1. Boo. Looks like him and Ty are cooking something else up too though, that'll cut into time.
  2. Sure but once you've run the good shows out, of which there aren't many [I haven't crushed Lower decks yet] the selection is very poor. It's like Paramount+ was created with no intention beyond being packaged.
  3. It's ass, honestly. At least here in Canada. But it's cheap.
  4. Ed's done some stuff that was fucked up, for sure. How can you have Molly smoking a blunt in the tub without her husband there? What happened to Wayne?
  5. Not the Best thing, but no better thread to look at this shit I found. It ain't right. edit: Dall-E mini is fun if you got time to kill https://huggingface.co/spaces/dalle-mini/dalle-mini
  6. Tim Sale has passed. Dude, you were a stylistic fucking legend, and your composition work left me in awe. Rest in peace, yo.
  7. It's kind of bizarre, honestly. There have been very few subplots that haven't revolved around the subject matter of the show. I mean, even when Gordo lost himself there for a while it was still adjacent to the program. I don't hate it. Just feels like a very strange writing turn. So far.
  8. They're going to run with the taboo plot and I want to say everything else is so good that I'm ok with that, but I'm just not.
  9. The latter being, as I've said before, something that I could normally count on from a Kay novel. It was still good, of course. There was lots of politicking and the usual intelligent and/or thoughtful mutual type soul bonding [trying to think of the last Kay work that had ignorant antagonists, the young member of the Council of 12 not withstanding] but emotionally, I didn't get hit.
  10. I'd be totally down for some Bronze Age Kay too, now I'm thinking about it.
  11. I remember being pretty snotty about e-books for a long, long time [I also avoided having a cellphone, for years] I'm fortunate, but now I screen novels by e-book. If they're dope, I also buy a physical copy for my modest collection-- so, two buys for authors who impressed me. --- Finished All The Seas, and did enjoy it. Felt like a strong thematic work, with more than a few resonating moments, but not as emotionally moving as the Kay I'd grown accustomed to. Or, maybe I need more time to reflect. Enjoyed LS and R, and it was good to see Folco and particularly Danio again.
  12. My first Kay was A Song for Arbonne.
  13. I like how even though I try my best to go into new Kay as blind as possible, I've faith that even if it isn't his best work ever, I'm going to be away from it all for a bit and have a cathartic experience. And after the last year or more, this guy needs that. Looking forward to this.
  14. Just googled up some images. Partial fusion of the upper limbs or no, those lemur type things still seem hexapodal. Minor quibble. I'll be fine with evolutionary oddness as long as the story continues in a more original vein. I guess.
  15. I'll go see the sequel because my eldest is super into it, but honestly, and this might sound silly given I'm such a huge fantasy/scifi fan, but my suspension got bounced out of the theater when many, if not most, of the animal species had six appendages but the Na'vi only had four. Were they native to Pandora or not? Didn't help leaving the theater feeling like I'd seen Avatar a few times before either.
  16. I just hopped over to see if anyone updated this lol This makes me happy. Except for a ridiculous [and relatively minor] side plot that was served up to, I guess, heighten Edward's tension in the last episode around the Moon, S2 was fantastic. Gordo and Tracy still smarts. Super stoked.
  17. I was surprised we didn't see much of him in the first book, honestly. There was a lot of hinted at intrigue between the two factions vying for Kithamar's seat. I mean, even out of the little we got, most was handled offscreen, so to speak, and bald matter of fact. The toward the end was commented on so dryly I was like, 'Oh.'
  18. I haven't read many recently. That said, my reading has been far from prolific for a few years.
  19. Enjoyed this book immensely. Atmosphere, the characters [Alys is pretty great, but love Sammish] and, in comparison to fantasy releases of the last decade or so it's relatively unique where, excepting for a flashback or two, the narrative is set within one city. Very much looking forward to the next installment.
