  1. I'm the opposite. I think it was the beginning of us learning that D&D were hack frauds and was basically character assassination for Stannis. Which is why, I'm confident it wont happen in the books. I believe Stannis is doomed, don't get me wrong, I just think he'll die after kicking the Balton's ass.
  2. You're reaching man, you're reaching. Listen, if you like the burning of the little girl............well that says more about you than it does about me. I'm just saying the possibility of that not happening also exists, given GRRM's track record of changing the faith of supporting characters. I hope we one day get to see what the original drafts for the other books were.
  3. I love how D&D ran right to, "George told us to do that", to try and shift all the blame away from themselves. Such cowards.
  4. The last time we see Stannis he's ordering one of his men to make sure that if he dies, to win the throne for his daughter. That doesn't seem like a man ready to burn his daughter alive to me.
  5. Just saying the possibility exists. The notes from last year showed us Kevan originally had a completely different faith, than being killed by Varys, for example.
  6. After the AFFC notes were uncovered, I wonder if it's Victarion. He was suppose to die in his second chapter and Euron was suppose to sail to Essos to meet Dany. Moqorro even feels like a stand in for George, since he's the one who saves Vic's life.
  7. Let's also not pretend that George doesn't change his mind all the time. The original drafts of AFFC and ADWD uncovered last year, show us that in earnest.
  8. I don't know. Non of those people you mentioned have their own personal headless abomination protecting them.
  9. Bran wont be king and Dany wont go insane and kill everyone.
  10. Part of me wishes this SNW came up with a new race, instead of the Gorn, for their lizard monsters. It's my only real issue with this series.
  11. I rather liked the Christmas Special. It wasn't as good as the films, but still a lot of fun. Truth be told, part of me always wished GotG was a tv show like Farscape; which I've heard was the main inspiration for James Gunn.
  12. How any one can hate this amazing dialogue, is beyond my logic. I was blown away, the first time I saw this scene.
  13. Fair point, maybe Euron did the world a favor by killing him.
  14. Sadly even when it comes to being insane, he was outdone by Joffrey, the person who started this mess in the first place.
  15. ADWD is easily my least favorite of the series. The Mereenese knot is beyond boring and gives me headaches whenever I reread it. It also feels like a side story, given how nearly everything important to the story seems to be happening in Westeros.
  16. For me Tyrion gets boring the second Jorah returns to the story. I like Jorah, but George just spent too much time with Jorah and Tyrion doing nothing. The boat chapters with them were ridiculous.
  17. He’s literally leading his ships against the Redwyne fleet when last we see him.
  18. Hey, I thought I was the only one. I love AFFC's, and I agree Jon's chapters become beyond boring after a while, same with Dany and Tyrion for me. It feels like all of the minor characters get to shine though. I also really love the one Dorne chapter we got and the few Cersei/Jamie chapters.
  19. Honestly, I think the series just got too big for him.
  20. It also helps that Gunn storyboards his own films and has mentioned that he shoots almost everything he puts in his storyboards. He's a pretty decent artist and mentioned if he didn't go on to be a director, he would be making either comics or video games. Taika Waititi by comparison, has mentioned that he almost never storyboards his films.
  21. Not true at all. Euron for example is currently fighting on the front lines with his men. He's not safely staying at Pyke, while his generals do all his fighting for him, the way Balon did.
  22. It's funny, how even the small things with the CGI they get wrong. For example Rocket and Groot look like crap in Thor 4, even though they were hardly in the film and the CGI artists were simply using the same models from Infinity War and End Game. Now fast forward about one year and suddenly Rocket and Groot look amazing in GotG vol 3; heck Rocket's face has more emotion in it, than ever before. I think Gunn just understands human emotion very well. I saw this interview with him a few months ago, when he went over his original plans for the backstory on how Rocket met the original Groot. How the original Groot was treated more like an animal, than a person and how the new Groot by comparison grew up as a member of a family and loves Rocket, Quill and Drax as if they were his fathers and Gamora and Mantis as if they were his mothers. He was getting very emotional over a character, that is basically just a CGI effect, that says three lines. If he cares so much about a character like that, I'd trust him with anyone.
  23. Most of those "accomplishments" seem rather minor in my book. The fact that he didn't even fight in both of his rebellions, honestly makes the guy seem a bit like a coward in my book.
  24. He seems like a nice guy. I love him for humiliating Tywin alone. I don't blame him for what happened the way Robb did, because there was no way he could have known; Robb really should have shared his plans with him. He was literally attacking Tywin to keep him away from Robb and all his men. He also loves and protects his smallfolk; I could love him for that lone.
