Who would win a war between Tywin and prime Robert Baratheon?

Robert fought always on the front, and was involved in more battles than almost any other character besides Selmy. Nobody was proben or tested more than him as a fighter in the whole stories. Yet he survived all these fights. Maybe Dayne could had survived such a battle record, maybe not. Fact is, Robert is the real deal. He has the best record in the game of trying to kill without being killed. By far.

Do you think Doran Martell actually has a master plan?

I guess not even Martin knows. He has dig himself into a narrative hole bigger than Doran.

    The American Tolkien

Anything written by Martin is rubbish compared to tolkien.

    The Best commander in ASOIAF

At least he managed to get himself out of Ashford... something that for example, Jaime Lannister could not do with Robb

There are multiple examples of other characters aknowledging robert as an out standing commander just a few... Robert would have done it in ten,” Asha heard Lord Fell boasting. His grandsire had been slain by Robert at Summerhall; somehow this had elevated his slayer to godlike prowess in the grandson’s eyes. “Robert would have been inside Winterfell a fortnight ago, thumbing his nose at Bolton from the battlements. "We all know what my brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right.” Stannis rose to his feet. “I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

[Poll] How would you rate episode 609?

I seroiously cant believe someone defends the writting.

Having zombies, dragons and swordfights doesnt mean we cant have decent writting. In some years when this cgi will look shitier nowbody is going to come back because theres nothing more. It might be a commercial succes now, but as art it will just fade away in a blink. Today star wars 4, 5, 6 look terrible. Yet millions watch them, and they are cult films. Ep 1 - 2 - 3 had spacehips, lightsaber duels and all that crap, millons watched them and yet amost nobody says those are good movies, and few go back to them. See the difference?

Exactly. Look at Arya cuting her ties with the faceless men/ sycilian mafia and then happily walking in Braavos/Palermo waiting for someone to staab her guts. Our inteligence as viewers is being insulted every week!

I prefer: Badass Dragons, Badass zombies, and Badass swordfights!

[Poll] How would you rate episode 609?

Yep. Thats kind of my point. Look at all the times you wrote "badass". Thats is not what I consider good writting. All the drama, all the tension building, all the choices the characters made in battle, mistakes, new plans, and feats got nothing to do with the result. Writters chose the easy way out and use plot jockers to get themselves out of what could had been awsome. I would had prefer to see a Jon Snow character that insted of being a "badass" would had been built as a leader of men. A tactician. With good and bad moves. Not a killing machine who did everything wrong and felt in every dumb ramsey trap. Because an educated viewer wont think high of Jon after last night. Where some see badassery many see a dumb kid who was only saved by the entire brand new army who teleported from half the world away. We dont ask questions about how this happens because we are supposed to be dumb and throw 10s. Also, someone who pays atention to the """story"""" wont see Sansa as a badass. Insted, as the """plot'''" was set, she got almost all his brothers army killed because of keeping information for herself. Wait for more troops! Which troops? Mmmm lol. The same goes for Mereen. Tyron had no plan. The cities defences didnt work. No men, no nothing. So they pulled it out with Daenerys burning it all. We dont even see a threat to dragons like spears, arrows, no thrill, just boreing "badassery". I want characters who win and lose, enjoy and suffer because what they chose to do, how they overcame and react to shit. sometimes at least. Not the freacking plot FF they always give us with a plot wild card. But its flashy, and characters look badass. Pd: RIP Ramsey Bolton. The best field commander in GOT. All his planning was brilliant. In line with his feat dispaching Stannis army with 20 good men.

theres no drama, no tension, if a conflict can be so easily solved by jumping into your dragon and burning a whole fleet. Everything is built up in an interesting way, but they end up getting out of the situation in the quickest, dumber way as possible. thats not good writting. Make some dragon to misfire to one of Daenerys ships, throw them some arrows, whatever. give me something. The same for Jon. a great battle, mistakes being done, new strategys drown. A tight battle, with smart moves from both sides, with a narrow result , all ruined by an overwhelmingly huge army of the vale. Thats bad writting. Characters and story end up being not well developed. Things move becasue of plot "gifts", jokers, or whatever you want to call them. I dont find it interesting. For me, insted of being Jons big moment as last season against the others, lastnight we have a stupid happy trigger moron that did eveything wrong and would end up whipped out with all his men if it was not for Gandalf and the rohirrim coming.

Jon Snow is despicted as a shitty commander, he did litealy all wrong, and fall in one trap after the other. Daenerys victories are boreing and simple as always. When every well built, interesting situation as the battle of WF, and Mereen is solved by plot gifts (Dragons, and a Vale Army), then, we must just accept the writting is awful A 6. The fighting scenes were the only thing good. I cant believe how many people are giving 10s. They just buy flashy lights.

    [TWoW Spoilers] Aeron I (Balticon)

I Just can wait for ages...I watch it and hate myself at the same time. By the way, about Rans theory of Euron being a pivotal agent of the others and probably a fallen greenseener...
