  1. Watched this over the weekend, haven't seen any of the WB shows so my only real knowledge of the Flash was 80's cartoons when he was in the Justice League show. I thought the main actor was pretty good, I now see that he was a POS real life but this is based on screen not off. I liked how the two played off each other. I liked most of the actors in the movie and for the most part I liked the plot. My problem is that Spiderman No Way Home came out before this and was a far superior movie. It makes this feel like a generic knock off of that movie. I liked the cameos but as it went on I was like yeah this has been too long of a sequence and that's when the Spiderman comparison came to mind and my enjoyment of the movie went down hill. All in all I enjoyed the movie and am actually considering watching the WB show now.
  2. Watched Flash this weekend. It was on the better side of the DC movies which outside of the Dark Knight series isn't saying a lot lately. I liked the main actor in his role but no one else really seems to stand out. If this movie had come out a couple years ago I may have liked it more but since
  3. RIP Treat Williams. Not usually a lead actor but someone who carved out a 50 year career in acting. Died when a SUV turned in front of the motorcycle he was riding, 71 years old.
  4. Watched The Adam Project on Netflix. Time travel movie w Ryan Reynolds. It wasn't bad, had some big names in it for a Netflix movie, Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Garner. It was just ok. It wasn't bad at all and had some good moments but will largely be forgotten.
  5. I saw this and thought it was pretty good. It's not great but you won't be mad you watched it.
  6. Agree to a point. I really thought they were going to show Tom being good at his job when he stayed behind and didn't go to the funeral. I thought wow he is actually working and doing good without having someone there towering over him and him feeling like he has to bow to them.
  7. Not getting into a lot of details but I think Shiv made the right choice. This whole thing was a cooked up scheme by Kendall to retain power. The three were going to go their own way and he screwed that up, not her. They then said we will be co CEO's and you will have an equal say, but immediately cut her out once again. They have the family dinner and swim and anoint Kendall as king and as soon as he gets in the chair, he puts his feet up and offers his buddy a board seat with out discussing it with them first. None of them was worthy to be CEO. To me Shiv got screwed the most in the family. IIRC she was in politics and relatively happy until her dad dangled the CEO job in front of her eyes. All he did was make her life hell after that. Now she feels trapped and not in charge of here life. Her husband is CEO and she is pregnant, which she clearly didn't want. Kendall, eh screw you. He has the leadership abilities but is just f'd in the head. Roman, I liked him but he is CLEARLY not meant to be in charge of anything. Too funny how Tom, the seemingly dope and nothing but a kiss ass of the group ends up as puppet CEO basically because his wife tells Matteson that he is just a kiss ass. Poor Greg. Man, Tom loves torturing him. Last but not least Connor. It's as if the guy doesn't really exist and yet he is also seemingly the most well adjusted(the bar is set low). Delusional about his candidacy, but still. I thought it was really telling when the video of the dinner was playing and the people there were all enjoying themselves and laughing and singing and none of the three stooges were there. They never got to have times like that with him but Connor, the outcast did.
  8. Finished Succession today. The season, and series, was just ok. There were some really good spots but a lot of other spots that dragged out. Overall I don't think I enjoyed the series as much as others did, the hype after S1 was big and IDK, it just wasn't as good after that, IMO.
  9. More than one way to look at a situation. Natalie this season went from suicide attempt to kind of a break through. She really seemed to finally see some of the shit she was doing and another way to live, she chose not to drink. In the end she was wearing the purple, she was healing and feeling ok for once. So guess what, you die. The others are all still suffering, so they live?
  10. I thought that Van was brought back just to be killed. The whole cancer thing seemed to fit, she could have sacrificed herself since she is dying anyway. As to Natalie being the main character, I never saw that, to me Shauna is the main, her and Missy anyways. This season saw Natalie come to grips with her demons and kind of being at peace finally so killing her off kind of made sense to me.
  11. I saw some article that listed the call backs and a couple caught my eye. One I knew I had seen it before but couldn't figure out where. Mae straightens a picture on a wall in the pub. It was the same picture of Geronimo from the final episode of Cheers, Sam Malone straightens it at the very end. Cheers ended 30 years ago on almost the the same day, May 20th 1993! It gets deeper, that picture itself was hung to honor Coach. The actor, Nicholas Colasanto, had it in his dressing room and he died in real life after season 3 I think and the crew hung it out for him. Jason Sedakis is the nephew of George Wendt NORM!!!! from Cheers and it must have been a nod to him and that show. The other I totally missed. The pinball game they were playing was The Wizard of Oz. A stranger in a strange land story. One who left Kansas and at the end of the story returned to Kansas and their family.
  12. Caught up on this and I think I have similar takes as pretty much everyone else. Teen time line is much better done than the current one. Although, if all we had was the teen timeline I imagine there would be a ton of complaints about teen angst etc.. I do think that several of the teen actors have done great jobs though. Walter, I want to like his character but that pop out and pull the cops gun, get off a couple rounds and then just toss the gun in and close the trunk without the cop immediately beating and cuffing him???? That whole plotline is just horrible. Even the beginning of it sucked. A couple of high school kids, who actually look like kids, in a bar in the middle of the day drinking, and then a cop buys her a drink knowing full well she is a teen? That action alone would have tossed those detectives off the case if the parents had brought a complaint. I actually liked that coach did that, we saw him deteriorate for several episodes after they ate the first girl, he was never the same. He was dealing with that but then they arranged to kill one of their own and eat them and he saw how far gone they were. BTW, do we mention how these people are "starving" and yet still have tons of baby fat on them? I mean, watch a season of survivor and see how much people lose in just 37 days, or and season of Alone. I know they can't make them skeletons but there should have been some built in understanding that they all needed to lose some weight between season for the show, not for vanity reasons. Hard to reconcile they are resorting to cannibalism and murder when they still have chubby cheeks. But, then there are so many kids that get told to lose weight for a lot of reasons so I can see them not doing it in real life. 5 seasons will likely be 2 too many.
  13. Fast X... what a piece. I saw the original Fast, then I think I quit watching part 2 because it just lost me. I love action movies but for some reason car chases turn me off, I know it makes no sense but oh well. Never watched any more until Fast X, and only went due to it being over 90 deg a couple weeks ago and me being bored. Very much disliked it for all the same reasons I disliked part 2, but I knew that going into it so that's on me. Finished up S2 of Yellow jackets last week. I thought it was pretty good. I binged it in a couple of days so I didn't have any time to get lost in theories. Looking forward to the next season, kind of hope that wraps it up. Heard there will be a single episode dropped this winter. Started Succession final season finally. Pretty good. Ep 3 was done really well. I am glad this is the final season for this also, seems just about right.
  14. I guess I just saw it differently. Ted and Beard were a pair who went through hell together and came to England together. Beard and his GF were broken up more times than anyone in the world and at that point in the show they weren't even engaged so why would it be strange for Beard to leave?
  15. Finished S3 of Ted Lasso it was a good series that had some really good spots and less duds. Wrapped up well after just three seasons so that is good. Hannah Waddington did great in this series, especially this last episode or two. Shame shame shame....
  16. I thought it wrapped up well and liked that it didn't go for the all smiles and rainbows ending. They didn't win the league. Rebecca wasn't miraculously pregnant. Keely/Roy/Jaime aren't together but each is a better version than season one.. Hmm I remember somebody posting on here pretty much this entire ending minus the Keely part...either I am good or this was too predictable. As to Ted and Michelle, IMO they will get together. It was pretty clear while they were watching the match and the boyfriend was not into it and each time they went back to them he was farther removed, the last scene he was literally in the back ground. Then cut to the homecoming and he isn't at the house or at the soccer game with her. It was a good series, not something I will re watch but something I'm glad I saw. Edit - Hannah Wadington did great this season, she killed the last two episodes.
  17. This prediction is looking pretty accurate right now, other than the Jamie -Keely part, I shit the bed on that one. I guess the finale has a few questions for us. Does Beard go back to the US w Ted or stay here with his love? Maybe he stays there and is part of a potential spin off? Do Rebecca and Sam finally get together out in the open? That was Ruperts current wife and mistress that showed up at Rebeccas house right? Looks like the above comment might be coming true! As to this episode it was nice to see Ted and his mom both call each other out for their bull shit. Her for pretending nothing was ever wrong and him for even being there instead of home with his son. Pretty funny scene where Roy sees a poster of him in Jaimes room, many came and went but Roys stayed...! Then seeing his dad in what I assume was rehab cheering his son on was pretty nice. Have to say I fell for the Rebecca fake out at the end, I was sure she was going to tell Ted she was pregnant.
  18. I did say that Roy would be a fish out of water CULTURE wise, not sport.
  19. There are actors that are in a lot of movies and you barely know they are there and there are actors who always catch your attention, he was one that always caught my attention.
  20. How about Coach Beard and Roy move to the US and take over a MLS team and it's Roy who is a bit of a fish out of water culture wise. Ted can pop in for a cameo. Roy in the US right now would be cancelled and sent home after one outburst!
  21. Yep, he is the one I would say is the GOAT RB. Different era so who knows how he would handle the passing now but in his era no one was close. And he was by all accounts a good man unless you were a female, then you were a punching bag over and over and over again. If he was playing now he would've been Ray Rice'd a long time ago.
  22. I almost watched this today, instead I watched Burnt with Bradley Cooper...whoops. I don't think Burnt was a bad movie but I was on my phone almost the whole time because it just never drew me in. The one scene made no sense
  23. I agree but what other reasons can there be for a show called Ted Lasso, to have him involved so little? He was the heart of the show and that's what it's currently missing. I imagine we will get good ol Ted in a heavy dose next episode as I am sure it will be the one where Nate comes back home to them. Ted will be the one to welcome him with open arms.
  24. I have to wonder if the writing team is kind of lost. Sudekis isn't coming back for another season but there are rumors of the show continuing or spin offs being created. I wonder if that is causing the writers to write for certain characters differently, in case some move into a spin off? Ted has definitely taken a back seat this season and I assume it's intentional, to let other characters breathe and see if any could carry a show.
