Dogma
By now, every character and every angle has been discussed, still I cannot seem to find much about this theory. Here goes... I think Ayra will wind up taking the Black at the Wall. More speciffically, she will become Lord (Lady) Commander. This will Make her a Lady, (something Arya always objects to, but that is continuosly mentioned) , this will fullfil the Stark legacy,( where a Stark has manned the Wall for a thousand years), and it will attone for her "sins" . Arya's skill and knowlege aquired from the FM will make her a fearsome leader. She will rebuild both the numbers and the reputation of the Nights Watch. She will open the Watch up to females and enlist some of the spearwives from beyond the Wall. Arya, as Lady Commander of the Nights Watch, will not only be able to Protect the Wall but will make all the Kingdoms fear/repect the Watch.Points...Ayra was greatly influenced by Yoren of the Nights Watch. Yoren shielded her from her father's beheading and it was Yoren who told her his brother's story and started her nightly "prayers". Arya has been influenced by many diferent men and lived in many different circunstancees form castle priveleged to starving and hunted. She has gained the ability to "see" from every prespective. Also, Ayra has always been with a "pack" (wolf pun intended) first, she had her brothers, then Gendry and the boys marching to the wall, then the Brotherhood without Banners, then the FM, she is not a lone wolf. Taking the Black, would give her a Big Pack. (Rhyme and pun intended). The Wall and the Knights Watch will have many battles and changes that do not include Ayra.Ayra will not go to the Wall for quite a while, she will first have to give the "gift" to someone, be reunited with past characters, but I do not believe she will die. Since her character would have to atone for all the lives she took, she will either have to die or make amends and The Watch releases you from your past transgressions this seems a likely for Ayra. Taylor Goddard
They'll do what they did to Jon, and murder her. There will never be a woman manning the wall.
A Bastard Snow
Yea...no even Jon doesn't want her at the wall. When he thinks about Arya showing up he realizes he will need to send her away (To one of the free cities which she has already gone too)There was a girl who tried to join the watch..it ended badly for the girl.Jon knows the song and knows the history behind the song there is nooooooooo way in hell he would ever let her stay
Eli Stark
Having a woman at the wall is just a sexual harassment suit waiting to happen. Not to mention that all the bathrooms in all the NW castles are probably men's rooms. I mean how much would it cost to double the number of NW bathrooms? Dogma
Yes Jon would send Arya away now, because his only memory of Arya is of her at Winterfell. She is not the same Ayra. Between her time with Gendry, the Brotherhood, the Hound and the FM, plus all the things she will do in TWOW, do you really think she will not be able to handle the peasants they send to the Wall..When she is grown! Besides, GMM is known to put women in role reversing situations. It is Danerys with the Dragons, not Viserys. Cersi murdered a King, Margery and her Grandmother murdered another King, Lysa murdered the Hand, Danerys outlived Drogo, 4 husbands, all dead. It is the men that are dying and injured. Catelyn compromised Ned,The Red Woman controlling Stannis, Asha, heading IronBorn ships, Osha protecting Rickon, Meera hunting for and protecting Bran, the Sand Snakes, the Spearwives, Danerys, and..Ayra. Not typical female roles. Also, remember their history and Lyanna Stark who was fiercely independent. Her history is impacting everything now. And Aegeon the Conqueror who didn't ride the Dragon alone, he rode with his 2 Sisters and their Dragons.Do not underestimate GMM, he could have Ayra command the Wall, Asha command the Iron Islands, Danerys on her Dragon, Sansa, ( who seems to always escape terrible situations) Queen and so on...There is no way to tell what GMM will do, but we know what he has done..and he has put many females in non-typical roles so there is no reason to think this will not continue. It's just another thought! Lion of the West
I really hope that Arya don't end up on the Wall because I do remember the story of Danny Flint. :(
Dogma
Right, but Brave Danny Flint wasn't trained by the FM..and Ayra won't go sneaking in..
blacken
Its not a bad theory but I don't believe it cus I believe the Wall will fall, thus rendering the Nights Watch useless.
TheWitch
I really like this theory and it would be so cool if it came to light, but im inclined to agree with Blacken. I don't think Arya will stay with the FM so I'm excited to see where she goes
Sapphireghost18
IMO she is too wild and free to be apart of the NW. But, I won't discount it. Arya pre-FM training would be a great NW recruit and she seems to have no interest in children or a husband. It would be interesting to see. FC_Lymond
Is the point that being an FM she will be a man who joins the NW?
Dogma
It wasn't, but thats a great idea too. Definetly adds something
Lady cut throat
Nah, I think that if she survives she will be doing something more along the lines of the Brotherhood without banners. Manning the roads and trying to protect the innocent or something like that.
Darkstar88
Hellll naaaa i think the NW days are numbered wen Jon takes his nap for a while and wakes a total A-hole with the help of the red women he will bring the wall down with the help of BR and the horn of winter which is in sams hands or in winter fells crypts. Then he will lead the pissed WW into the realm for BR/Bran and get some revenge for the three of them grrrr

MyaStoned
Yea...no even Jon doesn't want her at the wall. When he thinks about Arya showing up he realizes he will need to send her away (To one of the free cities which she has already gone too)There was a girl who tried to join the watch..it ended badly for the girl.Jon knows the song and knows the history behind the song there is nooooooooo way in hell he would ever let her stay Jon's thoughts in that chapter are intended by GRRM to seem ludicrously uninformed - he's thinking of Arya as an innocent little girl who can't defend herself or fend for herself and is all alone in the world and would be in danger in Westeros - meanwhile a reader is thinking, "Boy, are you misinformed." Think of the rep Jaqen H'gar had among Biter and Rorge and others in the black cells. Arya would not be harassed, she would be feared. She's a faceless man, a serial killer across multiple continents. Presumably, if she had to go the wall for her 'crimes', this would all be known. In any case, it would be known soon enough once people who harassed her started mysteriously dying. But it's moot because there may well not be a wall or a night's watch going forward. And live or die, that's not her fate. Could see her ending up there on business, however.
TheRealRedRonnet
There is an entire castle of spear wives defending the wall. If this highly unlikely theory does come to pass, she may end up running that castle, not the LC of the NW
Whitering
She's more likely to become Queen Beyond the Wall as far as I am concerned but any future that leaves her and relatively free is good with me.
Lady Lyarah Winter
"Did Mance ever sing of Brave Danny Flint?""Not as I recall. Who was he?""A girl who dressed up like a boy to take the back. Her song is sad and pretty. What happened to her wasn't." In some versions of the song, her ghost still walked the Nightfort. A Dance withe Dragons, George R.R. Martin. It's said young Danny still yet walks the Nightfort's shadowy Halls, A pale form singing softly, the loneliest, saddest song. The ballad of Danny Flint I don't think anyone would be able to touch Arya and come out of the encounter alive. However I agree with others. While this is all moot, I'm 99% sure the wall will fall.
vordy
Personally I believe that Arya as well as either Jon Snow or Bran will be Dany's dragon riders...since book 5 showed that only true Targaryens can ride dragons she will need wargs to ride the other 2 dragons...unless she finds 2 other true Targaryen children (Jon Snow may be one).
