i have to say that contador is a fucking god of cycling, regardless of his past indiscretions. now only hinault and merckx have won more grand tours on the road. when you think of how unlucky he has been with missing grand tours for various reasons he has a remarkable record.



also, womens cycling has not moved on as far as hoped

Would look good in the TdF if, say, Cofidis followed suit, no?

ETA: can't for the life of me remeber if Cofidis still exists.. still, any random team will do.

They are no longer World Tour, but do still exist, and always seem to get one of the wildcards for the TdF (they were in this year's Vuelta as well).

And the spring classics have started again. Wasn't thrilled by the Tour of Flanders, though two competitors being taken out by cars is worrying. My partner laughs at me when I ask him to take care and stay safe but when races see accidents like that I think I'm ok with it.

Tour of the Basque Country should be interesting. Paris Robaix also.
