I'm hoping he doesn't die, but doggy dreams whilst he's in a coma might not be that great a read.

Well that's unlikely to be what Ghost!Jon does. He's not just going to wander around the Wall and pee on trees. I think Jon in Ghost might allow him to "speak" to Bran in Summer. That's important. I also don't think Jon is going to be in Ghost long.

Given the meandering subplots in Essos for Dany and the various characters that wondered around the riverlands to little real point, I think Mr Martin has on a few occasions, not quite got it right.

Your subjective tastes = / = GRRM not getting it right.

Woof! Hopefully it doesn't happen, but we'll see. If there are doggy visions hopefully it's short and sweet.

I think you mean that my opinion is valid even if Mr Martin has written some stuff that's not quite as good as the rest and not that Mr Martin can do no wrong ever.

All authors have their regrets, as a reader, you know when some parts of the plot sag or drag and I'm being honest in saying that quite a lot of the stuff in the riverlands and in Mereen weren't exactly as enjoyable to read as other chapters and viewpoints in the series.

No you're giving your opinion. I'll give mine. I found Meereen and the Riverlands to be enjoyable. I like Dany's arc, I like Arya's ACOK and ASOS arc, I like Brienne and Jaime's arc. I found all of that enjoyable, more than some other viewpoints. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it wasn't up to snuff, and just because I found it enjoyable doesn't mean it was up to snuff.

Don't get upset. It's only an opinion.

I Still Pain Tooth Die Please.... ;____;

Then we're a fine a pair! I'm on pain killers because I almost had something in common with BR...remodeling my 115 year old barn this past weekend, I was prying a 4" nail out of a post, when the nail head snapped and the crowbar hit me directly in the right eye, breaking my safety glasses and hurting like hell. Turns out it was severe traumatic iritis (I think that is right)...basically...no cut on the eye but the eye is swollen, dilated and pretty much blind.

I'll trade my eye problems for a tooth problem. I've had both and I would choose tooth. But instead I'm choosing pain killers and wine. Which results in slow typing, goofy comments and slow typing.

Well I don't think Jon's body is going to die. And some think his consciousness might bounce back and forth for a bit.

You talking about skinchanging? Like Jon is ill and he has wolf dreams while he is unconcious, then has lucid moments, then back to the wolf? Like skinchangers can do? Well I agree that is certainly possible that happens while he heals from his wounds.

Kinda like Ol Ned when he is injured in King's Landing but without the wolf bond.

I...guess? I 'll be honest, I use warg and skinchange pretty interchangeably. I don't know if he'll be lucid, but he might show signs of life, hence why they don't burn him straight off.

Rhys or Rys or Ryse?

Rhys. Fixed my sig. From "Tales from the Borderlands". I've been playing that and laughing my ass off (hence my relative absence from this thread). So glad that Telltale has the GoT game franchise now, they write amazing stories.

I am now picturing Jon as some sort of amalgam of Pluto and Goofy....

To be fair, Pluto couldn't talk. It's obvious that Jon would be a talking wolf.

Right, with you. The cold wind rose from the north, and then the wights rose. My reading is that wind was not accompanying the wights, but was accompanying the Others, who were still north of the wall. Coldhands couldn't go through the wall, so why could the two "dead" wights? I'd guess they were Trojan Wights, deactivated to get through the wall's magical defence, and then reactivated when the Others approach the wall from the north.

No Others just the Wind( which only accompanies the Wights),the power to raise the dead is in the wind or should i say is the power of another "Green"seer which is just the COTFs label for whoever sits the throne of Summer..In this case BR/Bran .

The big difference is the Wall what has changed and returned to the former is that the Night's Watch dug tunnels in the Wall, which allowed the passage through the Wall and access the Wights. This is why the Wights were able to rise...Luckily Jon in filling in the tunnels against the Wildlings would actually strengthen the Wall.

The power to raise Wights doesn't lay with the Others it lays with a Greenseer type individual.

The idea is that Jon will be living his second life in Ghost when Melisandre performs the kiss of life on his body. His "soul" (for lack of a better word) will have been preserved in Ghost, thus preventing the degradation you see with Beric Dondarrion.

I think it is far more likely that Mel performs the same exact ceremony that MMD performed to save the Khal... & Just like the Khal's body, Jon's will be alive, but in a vegetable-like state... At this point, Jon's Body will be thrown in the ice cells where it will be forgotten about & freeze, thus fulfilling the foreshadowing we saw during Bran's Coma... The magic of the wall will prevent Jon's conciousness from gaining access to his body... This will End Jon's '2nd Life' & put him back in his first life. He would no longer be bound to Ghost, he would be free to take other host bodies at will... This will give Jon a lot of power, he just needs someone to tell him how to use it...

Ok this is horrible and almost certainly not true. But what if the cost of Jon's resurrection was Bran. Bloodraven tells Bran he arrived late, maybe he got there just in time so Bloodraven could kill him and revive Jon to be the ultimate Other killing machine. Or alternatively have Bran skinchang into the deadish Jon as Bloodraven skinchanges Coldhands.

Bran is the Winged Wolf...
